Gislum Parish (Danish : Gislum Sogn) is a parish located in Vesthimmerland Municipality within the Diocese of Viborg.

Until the 1970 Danish Municipal Reform, the parish was a municipal region within Gislum Herred in Aalborg County The town within the parish once had a grocery store and two schools, all of which closed had closed by 1980.

In 1432 there was something called Gislum call and it was because the prist of Gislum was in control over Vognsild, Svingelbjerg and Farsø parish. [2]

It was located in the traditional district of Nordfjord. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Grodås. The municipality was located at the eastern end of the lake Hornindalsvatnet, the deepest lake in Northern Europe. The rest of the lake lies inside neighboring Eid Municipality.

Socken is the name used for a part of a county in Sweden. In Denmark similar areas are known as sogn, in Norway sokn or sogn and in Finland pitäjä(socken). A socken is a country-side area that was formed around a church, typically in the Middle Ages. A socken originally served as a parish. Later it also served as a civil parish or an administrative parish, and became a predecessor to today's municipalities of Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. Today it is a traditional area with frozen borders, in Sweden typically identical to those of the early 20th century country-side parishes. The socken also served as a registration unit for buildings, in Sweden recently replaced by identical districts as registration unit. A socken consists of several villages and industry localities, and is typically named after the main village and the original church.

Gelsted is a small town and parish in northwestern Funen, Denmark. Gelsted is located roughly halfway between Ejby and Aarup, 28 kilometers west of Odense. The parish is located in Middelfart Municipality, and a small portion is located in Assens Municipality, within the Region of Southern Denmark. 1 January 2022 the town had a population of 1,711 with 2,312 in the parish in total itself. It contains the Gelsted Church.

Esbønderup is a parish and small town situated north of Lake Esrum in Gribskov Municipality, North Zealand. some 40 km (25 mi) north of Copenhagen, Denmark. As of 1 January 2022, it had a population of 1,190.

Regional elections were held in Denmark in December 1900. A total of 435 municipal council members were elected. In addition, 1,817 members of various parish councils were selected by the middle class, and 2,535 parish council members by the upper class.
