Giuseppe Zecchini (born 1952 in Milan) is an Italian historian. [1]
He is mainly concerned with the political history of the Roman world in the age of Caesar and Augustus and in the late antiquity and with the history of Hellenistic and Roman historiography.
Born in Milan in 1952, he graduated in 1975 at the Faculty of Letters of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan as a pupil of Marta Sordi. He has been teaching history of ancient historiography at the Università Cattolica from 1979 and Roman history at Chieti´s University from 1994 to 1997. He is currently full professor of Roman history at the Università Cattolica. He has been visiting professor in Dresden in 2001 and in Paris-Sorbonne in 2002.
He is member of the Italian Institute of Ancient History’s board from 2004, member of the Istituto Lombardo, member of the Canussio Foundation’s scientific committee, member of the scientific committee of the journals “Aevum” and “De rebus antiquis”, co director of the journal “Politica Antica”, director of the series CERDAC at the 'L’Erma di Bretschneider'.

Giuseppe Lazzati was an Italian Roman Catholic rector of the Sacred Heart college in Milan and a former parliamentarian. He was also the founder of the Secular Institute of Christ the King. Lazzati served as a professor and for a time served as a politician at the close of the Second World War despite initial hesitance in doing so. He later resigned to further dedicate himself to his lecturing while instituting the Secular Institute of Christ the King to bring together men who wished to consecrate themselves to God though not as religious. He was a collaborator of several well-known figures in Italian politics such as Giorgio La Pira and Aldo Moro while he maintained close relationships with Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul II.

Marta Sordi was an Italian historian of classical antiquity, best remembered for her various publications on Greek and Roman history. A graduate of the University of Milan, she was an assistant to Silvio Accame, and taught at the University of Messina, the University of Bologna and the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. She was a member of the Istituto Lombardo Accademia di Scienze e Lettere, the Pontifical Academy of Archaeology, and the Istituto Nazionale di Studi Etruschi ed Italici. She was awarded a Medal of the City of Paris in 1997, and a Rosa Camuna from the regional council of Lombardy in 2002.
