Plattsburgh is a town in Clinton County, New York, United States. The population was 11,870 at the 2010 census. The town is named after Zephaniah Platt, an early land owner. The Town of Plattsburgh surrounds the separate and more populous City of Plattsburgh. The town is in the eastern part of the county, in the North Country region of the U.S. state of New York. The region's airport, Plattsburgh International Airport, is located in the southern part of the town.

The community was given its English name in 1761 from Captain William Christopher who named it after Sir William Baker, the 11th Governor of the Hudson's Bay Company.

It is generally written in Inuktitut syllabics.
Terror Bay is an Arctic waterway in the Kitikmeot Region, Nunavut, Canada. It is located in the south western side of King William Island. The entrance to the bay is marked by Fitzjames Island on the west and Irving Islands to the east. The Bay opens to Queen Maud Gulf.
