Glengarry is a closed station located in the town of Glengarry, on the Maffra railway line in Victoria, Australia.
Glengarry railway station opened in 1883 with the construction of the line from Traralgon to Heyfield and was 167 km from Southern Cross station. [1] The station was first named La Trobe but was renamed Glengarry shortly after opening.
A post office operated at the station from 1 January 1884. On 1 December 1884 the post office name was changed from La Trobe Railway Station Post office to Glengarry Post Office. [2] In 1887, there was an attempted robbery at the station, with burglars tampering with a safe and breaking into a shed. [3] [4] In 1927, the amount of revenue derived from the station was £2227. [5]
The station building and platform have been restored as an art and craft shop. [6]

Rosedale is a pastoral and agricultural town 184 kilometres east of Melbourne via the Princes Highway. It is situated on the southern side of the LaTrobe River. Once a staging post on the Port Albert to Sale and Port Albert to Walhalla coach runs, it was the administrative centre of the Shire of Rosedale which extended to the east and included the Ninety Mile Beach. It is now part of the Wellington Shire centred in Sale. At the 2006 census, Rosedale had a population of 1,077. The town is in the area of Gippsland explored separately by the Scotsman, Angus McMillan, and the Polish aristocrat, Count Paul von Strzelecki, in 1840. A memorial to McMillan is located in Rosedale, and one to Strzelecki near Traralgon to the west. Strzelecki named the region Gippsland after Governor Gipps.
