Gloria E. Baquero Lleras is a Puerto Rican educator and university administrator. She was the Secretary of Education of Puerto Rico from January to June 2005. In 2011,Baquero Lleras was appointed president of National University College.
Baquero Lleras was born to Fermina Lleras and Gilberto Baquerro. She is from Juana Díaz,Puerto Rico. She attended elementary school in Yauco and Benigno Fernández García middle school in Cayey. She graduated from Benjamin Harrison School also in Cayey. Baquero Lleras completed a B.A.,M.A.,and Ed.D. in administration and educational supervision at University of Puerto Rico. [1]
Baquero Lleras was the principal of Berwind Superior School and Antonio Sarriera Egozcue School. In from 1990 to 1992,she was a special assistant to the Secretary of Education. She worked as an educational consultant from 1994 to 1996. She was a general manager at Lucy López Roig y Asociados from 1997 to 2005. She was the Secretary of Education of Puerto Rico from January to June 2005. She returned to Lucy López Roig y Asociados as president from July 2005 to February 2008. In 2011,she succeeded Carmen Z. Claudio as president of National University College. [2]

Julio Vizcarrondo Coronado was a Puerto Rican abolitionist,journalist,politician and religious leader. He played an instrumental role in the development and passage of the Moret Law which in 1873 abolished slavery in Puerto Rico. Before being appointed as Secretary,Román served as President of the Organization of School Administrators and Principals of Puerto Rico. He obtained a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Puerto Rico at Cayey in 1999,and a Master of Education from the Metropolitan University in 2005.

Carmen Zoraida Claudio is a Puerto Rican educator and university administrator. Claudio is the president of Thomas Alva Edison School. She was the president of National University College where she serves on the board of trustees. She is a graduate in Doctor of Education (EdD),Planning and Evaluation from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. Claudio was succeeded by Gloria E. Baquero Lleras. She has worked in education for over 40 years. Claudio was the president of the Asociación de Educación Privada de Puerto Rico.
Tania Viera Martínez was a Puerto Rican educator and lawyer who served as the executive director of the Puerto Rico Automobile Accident Compensation Administration from 1977 to 1984. In 1972,she became the first woman Secretary of Education of Puerto Rico. Viera Martínez later served as the rector of San Juan Community College.
The Museum of History,Anthropology and Art of the University of Puerto Rico —often shortened to Museum of the UPR or MAHA —is a university museum dedicated to anthropology,archaeology and the history of art of Puerto Rico located on the grounds of the University of Puerto Rico,Río Piedras Campus. Officially dating to 1951,this museum is the oldest in Puerto Rico with its first collection being even older dating to 1914,donated by then Resident Commissioner Federico Degetau.
