Gloria Gorceag (born 21 November 1987) is a Moldovan singer, songwriter and television presenter. She became famous in the Republic of Moldova in 2008 after she participated on the talent show Fabrica de staruri, where she was a finalist. [1]

Life and career

1987–2008: Early life and career beginnings

Gloria [2] [3] [4] was born on 21 November 1987 in Soroca, Republic Of Moldova. She graduated Romanian-German high school Mihail Kogălniceanu. In 2007 she starts her studies at Universitatea Tehnică din Republica Moldova faculty of town and country planning, but she quickly realizes that this is not the profession that she wants to do in life and transfers to the faculty of Interior Design at Universitatea Perspectiva where she studies for a year and a half but then is dropping out to start her studies in 2009 at Moldova State University faculty of journalism and communication sciences.

She loved music from an early age, growing up in a family that listened to a lot of international music. She was influenced by the music on MTV. She also sang in the school choir and as a soloist, participating in festivals, district competitions. In 2007 – 2008 she hosts a TV show Alege melodia. In 2008 she becomes a contestant on the talent show Fabrica de staruri.

2015–present

In 2015, 2016 [5] and 2017 presents one of the national selections for Eurovision. Since 2018 she is the host of her own Talk Show Istoriile Gloriei. In 2019 she released her hit-single Tudore featuring Lia Taburcean which received over 10 million views on YouTube. [6] [7]

Anda Adam is a Romanian singer and model. She is best known for her singles "My Love on You" and "Panda Madam". Anda began her music career in 1999, after collaborating with Romanian band R.A.C.L.A. on the songs "Nu mă uita" and "Fiesta" for their EP Nu mă uita. This inspired Anda to begin her own music career, releasing her debut EP Ca Între Fete later that year. In 2003, she released her secpmd EP Doar cu tine. Her debut album, Confidențial, was released on 14 April 2005, and featured the successful singles "Ce ți-aș face (Selecta)", "Ajutor", and "Nai, Nai". The album has sold over 20,000 copies in Romania as of 2007, being certified platinum. Carla's Dreams is a music project from Moldova, formed in 2012 in Chișinău. The band is composed of an anonymous group of singers and composers who perform their songs in Romanian, English and Russian. Their lead singer, codenamed Sergiu, and his bandmates all hide their identity in public appearances by wearing hooded sweatshirts, sunglasses and a face mask made of makeup. Carla's Dreams rose to prominence in Moldova and Romania upon releasing the single "P.O.H.U.I." with Inna in 2013, and have since then issued nine singles that went on to be number-one singles in Romania.

Presidential elections were held in Moldova on 1 November. The fourth direct elections since independence in 1991, voters had the possibility to either elect a new president or re-elect the incumbent Igor Dodon. Because no candidate received a majority of votes in the first round, a run-off between the top two candidates, Maia Sandu and Dodon, was held on 15 November. Maia Sandu won the second round with 57.72% of the vote, becoming the first female President of the country and the first winner from the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS).
