Gold is a compilation album by Swedish singer September. It was released on 14 November 2008 by Catchy Tunes. The album marked her first compilation album for her domestic market, including songs from her second and third albums, In Orbit (2005) and Dancing Shoes (2007), respectively. "Because I Love You", a track previously included on Dancing Shoes, was released as a promotional single for the album on 26 November 2008.
All songs written by Jonas von der Burg, Anoo Bhagavan and Niklas von der Burg, except "Looking for Love" written by Steven Elson and Dave Stephenson, and "Midnight Heartache" written by Jonas von der Burg, Anoo Bhagavan, Niklas von der Burg, Donna Weiss and Jackie DeShannon. On the international CD, the track listing differs significantly.

Ace of Base is a Swedish pop group, formed in 1990, originally consisting of siblings Jonas, Linn, and Jenny Berggren, with Ulf Ekberg.
Loveppears is the second studio album by Japanese recording artist Ayumi Hamasaki. It was released in Japan, Hong Kong and China on November 10, 1999 through Avex Trax and the China Record Corporation, and distributed worldwide on April 10, 2001 by Avex Entertainment Inc. It was entirely written by Hamasaki herself, while the production was handled by Japanese musician Max Matsuura. Musically, Loveppears is a dance album and lyrically focuses on themes of love, frustration of life, loneliness, and individualism.

The album debuted and peaked at 17 on the Swedish Album Chart, and peaked at 36 on the Finnish Album Chart. In Poland, the album was re-released as a limited edition in 2007, including remixes and a DVD with music videos. This edition peaked at No. 10 and was certified Gold for sales of over 10,000 units. September won a Swedish Grammis Award for In Orbit in the category Club/Dance of the Year in February 2006.

The album was September's highest peaking album in Sweden at the time, peaking at #12 on the Swedish Album Chart. In Poland, the album peaked at #19. Dancing Shoes spawned two singles; "Can't Get Over" and "Until I Die", which both reached the top ten in Sweden. The album track "Because I Love You" was released as a promotional single for her compilation album Gold, and the single edit of "Cry for You was included as a bonus track on this album; it was previously released as single from her previous album In Orbit.Dancing Shoes was nominated for a Swedish Grammis Award in the category Dance/Hip Hop/Soul of the Year.

Producers that worked on the album include Jonas von der Burg, who worked with September on almost all of her songs, StoneBridge, Lucas Secon, Cutfather and Jaakko Salovaara of Darude fame. The album was mastered by Björn Engelmann at Cutting Room Studios. It received generally positive reviews from critics, with many calling it more pop than her previous work. The album debuted at number one on the Swedish Albums Chart and was eventually certified double platinum in Sweden for shipments of 80,000 copies.

The track was released on a limited edition gold-coloured 7" vinyl, which was limited to 1,500 copies worldwide and contained their previous single – a cover of the Beatles song "Help!", recorded live at Abbey Road Studios on 15 November 1995 – as the b-side. A music video was also released for the song, featuring previously unseen footage from both Gessle and Fredriksson's private archives.
