The Goldberg Ensemble is a string ensemble formed in 1982 in Manchester, UK. The group also performs as a chamber orchestra, a festival opera company, a chamber ensemble, and a contemporary ensemble.
Manchester is a city and metropolitan borough in Greater Manchester, England, with a population of 545,500 as of 2017. It lies within the United Kingdom's second-most populous built-up area, with a population of 3.2 million. It is fringed by the Cheshire Plain to the south, the Pennines to the north and east, and an arc of towns with which it forms a continuous conurbation. The local authority is Manchester City Council.

Since its formation, the group has toured internationally, performing in Europe, South America, China, Macau, and the Azores. The ensemble has appeared throughout the world on television and radio and has given concerts in many locations from the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh to the Manaus Opera House in the Brazilian rainforest.

In recent years, the ensemble has performed annually at the Whitworth Coffee Concert series in Manchester and has toured nationally as part of their Contemporary series. The Ensemble has produced a number of recordings of both classical and contemporary works, initially under the Meridian label, and more recently with Naxos Records.
Naxos Records is a record label specializing in classical music. Through a number of imprints, Naxos also releases Chinese music, jazz, world music, and early rock and roll. The company was founded in 1987 by Klaus Heymann, a German-born resident of Hong Kong. Since 2009 Naxos has distributed Blu-ray discs, streaming web radio, and podcasts. Naxos allows members of subscribing public libraries and music schools such as Hong Kong Public Libraries, Auckland Libraries, Wellington City Libraries, and Toronto Public Library free streaming of Naxos classical and jazz collections.
Artistic direction of the Goldberg Ensemble has recently been taken over by the violinist, David Adams.

Timothy Cobb is the current principal double bassist with the New York Philharmonic and the Mostly Mozart Festival at Lincoln Center. He previously taught at the Peabody Institute of Music, and joined the Manhattan School of Music faculty in 1992. Cobb also currently teaches at SUNY Purchase, Lynn University, Rutgers University: Mason Gross School of the Arts, YOA Orchestra of the Americas, and Mannes School of Music Preparatory Division. He is the current chair of the double-bass department at the Juilliard School, where he has been on faculty since 2002.

The London Mozart Players (LMP) is a British chamber orchestra founded in 1949. The LMP is the longest-established chamber orchestra in the United Kingdom whose performances and recordings focus largely on the core repertoire from the classical era. Since 1989, the orchestra has been based at Fairfield Halls, Croydon, since 2016 LMP relocated its office to St John the Evangelist to become an orchestra embedded within the local community.

The RTÉ Concert Orchestra is one of the two full-time professional orchestras in Ireland that are part of RTÉ, the national broadcasting station. Since its formation as the Radio Éireann Light Orchestra in 1948, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, has grown from a small studio-based recording group to become an active 45-strong orchestra performing over eighty concerts annually. It is part of RTÉ Performing Groups. The orchestra performs classical, popular and big band evening and lunchtime concerts, covering a range of music from baroque to contemporary.

The Henschel Quartet is a German string quartet comprising the Henschel siblings; Christoph and Markus (violinists), Monika (viola) and Mathias Beyer-Karlshøj (cellist), who joined them in 1994. Brother Markus left the quartet in 2010, and was succeeded by Daniel Bell in 2012. In 2019 Gregory Maytan took the place of the second violin.

The size of the group depends on the programmes being performed and can range from trios to a full complement of 70 or so musicians. They perform standing up.

She has appeared with numerous orchestras and at various venues in the United States and Japan, being a featured performer with the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, Ishihara Hall 10th Anniversary Concert series and the Festival Internacional Cervantino in Mexico. She is also a music teacher and since 2007 has been an adjunct with the University of California, San Diego.
