Golden Animals is an American pop / rock & roll / psychedelic / blues / folk / country band formed by Tommy Eisner in 2006.
The group officially began in 2006 in Brooklyn, New York, when Tommy Eisner met Linda Beecroft on and added her on drums and backing vocals to songs he had been writing, recording and performing solo since 2002. They played for several years and tour internationally in North America, Europe and Africa. In 2014, Eisner and Beecroft decided to take a break from playing together. In the summer of 2016, Eisner moved to Los Angeles to reform the group as a larger ensemble adding Eyal Lidergot (Guitar), TJ Tate (Guitar), Matteo Arias (Bass), and Justin Smith (drums).
After a series of home recordings, Golden Animals recorded their first studio EP, Do The Roar! (2007), with Chris Coady at StayGold (part of Headgear Studio in Brooklyn, NY, which was later released by HappyParts Recordings. In 2008, the group released their first LP Free Your Mind And Win A Pony (2008), [1] [2] produced and engineered by Chris Coady at Tiny Telephone Studios, mixed by Thom Monahan and released by HappyParts Recordings. The band's second LP Hear Eye Go (2013) [3] was recorded and co-mixed with Matt Boynton at Vacation Island Recordings and released by The Reverberation Appreciation Society. The band toured nationally with The Black Angels and Roky Erickson [4] in the winter of 2014.
The 13th Floor Elevators was an American rock band from Austin, Texas, United States, formed by guitarist and vocalist Roky Erickson, electric jug player Tommy Hall, and guitarist Stacy Sutherland. The band was together from 1965 to 1969, and during that period released four albums and seven singles for the International Artists record label.

"You're Gonna Miss Me" is a song by the American psychedelic rock band the 13th Floor Elevators, written by Roky Erickson, and released as the group's debut single on Contact Records in 1966. It was reissued nationally on International Artists, in May 1966. Musically inspired by traditional jug band and R&B music, combined with the group's own experimentation, "You're Gonna Miss Me" with its Stacy Sutherland and Tommy Hall-penned B-side "Tried to Hide" was influential in developing psychedelic rock and garage rock, and was one of the earlier rock compositions to use the electric jug. Accordingly, critics often cite "You're Gonna Miss Me" as a bona fide garage rock song and a classic of the counterculture era.
Where the Pyramid Meets the Eye is a 1990 tribute album to singer-songwriter Roky Erickson, founder of the 13th Floor Elevators and solo artist, whose career was subject to significant periods of challenge from schizophrenia. The album was released by Sire Records in the United States, and by WEA International in Europe. The album was produced by Bill Bentley, who also produced a 1999 tribute album to Moby Grape co-founder Skip Spence, who, like Erickson, was subject to the challenges of schizophrenia. The album's title is said to be Erickson's definition of psychedelic music.

The Evil One, also known as Roky Erickson and the Aliens or I Think of Demons, is the first album by American psychedelic rock band Roky Erickson and the Aliens. It followed Erickson's time with the band the 13th Floor Elevators and years of personal problems. Recorded as a 15-song session in 1979, a U.K. version was released in 1980, followed by a U.S. version in 1981 with a different track listing. Subsequent digital releases of the album comprise all 15 songs.
