Goldie Behl is an Indian filmmaker and entrepreneur belonging to the Behl family of Hindi films. He is married to Sonali Bendre. [1]

Career

As student of Mayo College, Behl trained within the Mumbai Film Industry, born on January 24, 1975. In 2001, he made his directorial debut with the film Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai (That’s All I Dream of) starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukherji, Sushmita Sen and Jackie Shroff. Behl then co-founded Rose-audiovisuals which has released shows such as Lipstick, Remix songs and Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na on Indian television network. Drona was his second film, with fantasy-action and special effects amalgamating Indian mythology with pure fantasy, and fusing a contemporary storyline.

Goldie is related to many eminent people in the Hindi film industry through both his parents. His father is the director Ramesh Behl, whose brother is another noted film director, Shyam Behl. Shukla Devi Tuli, wife of superstar Rajendra Kumar Tuli, is his paternal aunt. [2] Thus, the actor Kumar Gaurav is Goldie's paternal first cousin; as are actor Ravi Behl and actress Geeta Behl, the children of Shyam Behl. [2]

Goldie's mother is a daughter of actor Kamal Kapoor, who was a first cousin of Prithviraj Kapoor (they were the children of two sisters, both of whom were married to men named "Kapoor").[ citation needed ]

Goldie has a sister, Shrishti Arya, who is into software production and has co-produced many films with her brother. [3]

Personal life

Goldie married film actress Sonali Bendre on 12 November 2002. [4] Their son, Ranveer Behl, was born on 11 August 2005 at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. [1]

Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega is a 2001 Indian Hindi-language crime comedy film directed by Eeshwar Nivas and produced by Ram Gopal Varma and Nitin Manmohan. The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Fardeen Khan, Sonali Bendre, Twinkle Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani and Johnny Lever in lead roles. The film is an official remake of the 1993 Telugu film Money. This film marked Twinkle Khanna's final acting performance, prior to her marriage and subsequent retirement from the industry. It was released on 29 June 2001 and unlike the original version, the Hindi remake received mixed reviews and eventually became a box-office bomb. The rights to this film are owned by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and the film is said to be loosely based on the American black comedy Fargo.

He directed films like Jawaani (1984), Pukar (1983) and Apne Apne (1987). He is the only filmmaker to have taken R. D. Burman as the music director for all his films. He died on 5 January 1990.

RejctX is an Indian web series that revolves around a group of students of an elite school, and millennial issues like gender fluidity, body shaming, personality disorders, and porn addiction, and their rap band. It was first launched for the ZEE5 network on 25 July 2019. The series stars Sumeet Vyas, Kubbra Sait, Ahmed Masi Wali, Ridhi Khakhar, Anisha Victor, Pooja Shetty and Ayush Khurrana as the primary cast.

The Broken News is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language newsroom drama web series directed by Vinay Waikul on ZEE5 starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Sonali Bendre, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Jay Upadhyay, Indraneil Sengupta, Taaruk Raina, Aakash Khurana and Kiran Kumar. It is a remake of the British series Press. It is written by Mike Bartlett, who created the original, and Sambit Mishra. The series released on 10 June 2022 on ZEE5.
