Gobinath Chandran is an Indian television anchor, radio jockey, [1] journalist, reporter, news presenter/moderator, [2] entrepreneur, [2] [3] and a writer, [4] currently featured on the STAR Vijay debate show Neeya Naana . [5] He is popularly known as "Neeya Naana Gobinath."[ citation needed ]

Early life

Gopinath was born in Aranthangi, Pudukkottai district, Tamil Nadu to Chandran and Kumudham Chandran in 1975 [6]

Career

Gopinath began his career in 1997 with United Television and later, he went on to join Raj Television Network. He did reporting assignments for Jaya TV, NDTV and CNBC TV-18. [7] Later he joined Vijay TV and anchored Makkal Yaar Pakkam, a political analysis programme. In 2006, he started his position with Neeya Naana .

He has been an anchor for television series such as Makkal Yaar pakkam, Nadanthadhu enna?, Sigaram thotta Manidargal and En Desam! En Makkal in 2013.

He was a radio jockey (RJ) at Radio City, and hosted their breakfast shows.

He has authored Twelve (12) books. The first was a collection of poems, Theruvellam Devathaigal, and was published in 2007. The second book, Please indha Puthagathai vaangatheenga was based on personality development which is still topping the charts and has sold over 4 lakh copies till date. The third was a self-motivating and self-analysing book called Neeyum Naanum. Gopinath's fourth book is Ner Ner Thema, a collection of interviews. The recent book "Nimirnthu Nil" was published in Nakkeeran, Tamil Weekly and later got published in 2015. Of all his works he quotes PASSWORD as the one that is close to his heart.

He also wrote a series of articles with the title Neeyum Naanum in Aananda Vikatan. It is known for its scripted motivation. This article was translated into English as "You And Me".

Neeyum Naanum is a 2010 Tamil language musical dance film written, produced and directed by S. V. Solairaja. The film stars Sanjeev and newcomer Chetna Pande, with Sampath Raj, Vadhan, Rinson Simon, Master Sachin, Anju, Manobala, Singamuthu and Halwa Vasu playing supporting roles. The film's musical score was written by Sriram Vijay and was released on 27 August 2010.

<i>Viduthalai Part 1</i> 2023 Indian Tamil period crime thriller film

Viduthalai is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language period crime thriller film directed and co-produced by Vetrimaaran, who co-wrote the screenplay with B. Jeyamohan, under Grass Root Film Company and RS Infotainment. It is the first of a two-part adaptation of the short story Thunaivan (transl. Companion) by Jeyamohan. Set in 1987, the film follows a constable, who is recruited to arrest the leader of a separatist group. The ensemble cast includes Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, Ilavarasu, Balaji Sakthivel, Saravana Subbiah, Chetan, Munnar Ramesh, and Pavel Navageethan.

Mr. and Mrs. Chinnathirai is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language reality television show airs on Star Vijay and streamed on Disney+ Hotstar. Over three years Mr. and Mrs. Chinnathirai has rolled out four seasons with Ma Ka Pa Anand as host for four seasons and Aranthangi Nisha as host for three seasons. Devadarshini and Gopinath Chandran were the judges for four seasons.

Vaa Thamizha Vaa is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language reality Talk show, that airs on Kalaignar TV from 11 June 2023 and is also presented on Kalaignar TV's YouTube channel. The Show previously hosted by Karu Palaniappan and from season 3 on 14 April 2024 it is hosts by Aari Arujunan. It is adapted from the Star Vijay's show Neeya Naana.
