Goran Bregović is a Bosnian recording artist. He is one of the most internationally known modern musicians and composers of the Slavic-speaking countries in the Balkans, and is one of the few former Yugoslav musicians who has performed at major international venues such as Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall and L'Olympia.

Đorđe Balašević was a Serbian singer and songwriter, writer, poet and director. Goran Višnjić is a Croatian actor who has appeared in American and British films and television productions. He is best known in the United States for his roles as Dr. Luka Kovač in ER and Garcia Flynn in Timeless, both NBC television series. For ER, he and the cast were nominated for two Screen Actors Guild Awards. He is the son-in-law of Croatian film director and former head of Croatian Radiotelevision (1991–95), Antun Vrdoljak. He moved to the United States in the late 1990s.
Rade Šerbedžija is a Croatian actor, director and musician. He is known for his portrayals of imposing figures on both sides of the law. He was one of the best known Yugoslav actors in the 1970s and 1980s. He is internationally known mainly for his role as Boris the Blade in Snatch, his supporting roles in such Hollywood films as The Saint, Mission: Impossible 2, X-Men: First Class, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, and Taken 2; and for his recurring role as former Soviet Army General Dmitri Gredenko in Season 6 of TV action series 24.
Miroslava "Mira" Stupica was a Serbian actress best known for her work in the theater, but also had extensive career on television and in films. Enjoying the enduring popularity for over 60 years and celebrated as the ‘actress of the century’ by her peers, she is considered one of the best Serbian actresses of all time.
Sonja Savić was a Serbian actress, famous for her husky voice and series of impressive roles in some of the more memorable 1980s Yugoslav films. Sonja appeared in Miroslav Ilić video Voleo sam devojku iz grada. In later years she became an outspoken critic of the direction the country was taking, in terms of cultural and political values.
Danielle Rousseau is a fictional character on the ABC drama television series Lost, which chronicles the lives of over forty people after their plane crashes on a remote island somewhere in the South Pacific. Croatian actress Mira Furlan plays the scientist who shipwrecks on the island sixteen years prior to the crash of Oceanic Flight 815. After Rousseau is killed in the fourth season, the American actress Melissa Farman portrayed a younger version of the character in the fifth season. Furlan later reappears for one episode in the sixth season. Rousseau is a recurring on-island character who has appeared in nineteen episodes in seasons one through four, as well as one episode where her voice alone is heard, and her final episode in the sixth season.

The series is directed by Goran Gajić and written by Nikola Pejaković along with Ranko Božić while 4 episodes were co-written between the two of them. Nikola Pejaković is a Serbian actor, screenwriter and musician. After finishing Secondary Art School he entered the Art Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, department of theater directing. Beside his acting career Pejaković is also a musician, playing the guitar, piano and harmonica. Since he was born without a little finger on his right hand, he is a four fingered guitarist, registered at the American Coalition for Disabled Musicians. He composed the ultimate kafana hit "Haljinica boje lila".

The Prague film school, also known as the Czech film school or the Prague wave was a group of Yugoslav film directors who rose to prominence in the 1970s after graduating from the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU). Five prominent Yugoslav directors born from 1944 to 1947 attended classes at FAMU: Lordan Zafranović, Srđan Karanović, Goran Marković, Goran Paskaljević (1947-2020), and Rajko Grlić. Emir Kusturica, who was born is 1954, is sometimes also considered a member of the Praška škola. Cinematographers Živko Zalar, Predrag Pega Popović, Vilko Filač, Valentin Perko, and Pavel Grzinčič, also studied at FAMU.
