Gordon Head Baseball Association, located in the municipality of Saanich, just north of Victoria, British Columbia, provides a comprehensive baseball program for players from four to 100 years old, in eight separate divisions, including Blastball, Initiation, Novice, Mosquito, Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget and Junior Men's. Known as Gordon Head Little League from 1957 through 2002, when it became affiliated with Baseball B.C., Gordon Head Baseball Association incorporated Lambrick Park Baseball in 2012. The organization is a member of the British Columbia Minor Baseball Association (BCMBA) and, under the jurisdiction of the Greater Victoria Baseball Association (GVBA), plays locally in Lambrick Park. The current president is Steve Gaskin, and the chief umpire is Barry Whelan. [1]

Pee Wee Reese American baseball player

Harold Peter Henry "Pee Wee" Reese was an American professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball as a shortstop for the Brooklyn / Los Angeles Dodgers from 1940 to 1958. A ten-time All-Star, Reese contributed to seven National League championships for the Dodgers and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984. Reese is also famous for his support of his teammate Jackie Robinson, the first black player in the major leagues' modern era, especially in Robinson's difficult first years.

The North Shore Lions football organization is currently a member of the QBFL operating in the West Island of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This storied organization was founded in 1967 when the local teams were struggling to find talented kids to play football. Since 1967, this organization has taken part in 35+ provincial championship games and won 37 of them.

Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League

The Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL) is an unincorporated not-for-profit association which operates a junior "B" ice hockey league of 11 franchised member clubs, all of which are currently located in Canada, on Vancouver Island. The Brent Patterson Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to the league playoff champion at the end of each season. The winner of the Brent Patterson Memorial Trophy competes with the champions of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League and the Pacific International Junior Hockey League for the Cyclone Taylor Cup, the British Columbia Provincial Title.

Minor hockey is an umbrella term for amateur ice hockey which is played below the junior age level. Players are classified by age, with each age group playing in its own league. The rules, especially as it relates to body contact, vary from class to class. In North America, the rules are governed by the national bodies, Hockey Canada and USA Hockey, while local hockey associations administer players and leagues for their region. Many provinces and states organize regional and provincial championship tournaments, and the highest age groups in Canada and USA also participate in national championships.

Houston Cougars baseball Baseball team of the University of Houston

The Houston Cougars baseball team is the college baseball team of the University of Houston. Along with the university's other athletic teams, the baseball team is a member of the American Athletic Conference as a Division I team. They play their home games at Schroeder Park. In addition to numerous NCAA Tournament appearances, the Cougars have made two College World Series appearances. Houston has been led by head coach Todd Whitting since 2011.

Canoe Kayak Canada is the governing body of competitive canoeing and kayaking disciplines in Canada. The three specific disciplines represented are flatwater, whitewater and marathon. Canoe Kayak Canada officially replaced the name "Canadian Canoe Association" in 2005, although the former title is still used by the organization. The name change came about from a desire to include the kayaking discipline in the organization's name.

Westshore Rebels

The Westshore Rebels are a Canadian junior football team based in Langford, British Columbia. The Rebels play in the B.C. Football Conference, which itself is part of the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) and competes annually for the national title known as the Canadian Bowl. The club has operated continuously since the late 1960s in Victoria, having previously been known as the Sharks, Payless, and the Hornets. The Rebels were founded in 1985 as the Victoria Payless, and were the BCFL champions in 2003.

Todd Michael Harkins is an American former professional ice hockey player who played 48 National Hockey League games for the Calgary Flames and Hartford Whalers. Harkins was drafted by the Flames in the 2nd round, 42nd overall in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. He has appeared in and consulted on hockey-related movies, and is now an amateur coach and professional scout.

Victoria Cougars (VIJHL)

The Victoria Cougars are a junior "B" ice hockey team based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. They are members of the South Division of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL). The Cougars play their home games at Archie Browning Arena, located in Esquimalt, British Columbia. Phillip Pang is the team's President, Brody Coulter is the Head Coach, Suneil Karod is the General Manager, and the Captain is Dylan Jessa.

Cumberland Panthers

The Cumberland Panthers are a Canadian football organization based in the Orleans area of Ottawa and the largest minor football organization in eastern Canada. The Cumberland Panthers were founded in 1993, starting out in the Mosquito level of the National Capital Amateur Football Association. Progressively, they have increased the number of teams being fielded as their players aged. In 1994, the organization added a team to compete in the Peewee level, followed by Tyke in 1996, and Bantam in 1997. The Panthers previously had three teams competing in the Ontario Provincial Football League in Varsity (Under-20) Junior Varsity (Under-17) and Bantam Varsity (Under-15) levels. In 2004, the Panthers fielded their first Junior Football team, in the Quebec Junior Football League, joining the Ottawa Sooners and Ottawa Junior Riders as the leagues entries from Ontario. The Cumberland Panthers organization also fields Girls' Touch Football teams, as well as Tyke and Mosquito Flag Football teams and a cheer squad. Various training programs are also offered, including Jr Panthers, for ages 5, 6 and 7 and the off-season Varsity training program for players age 15-19. The Panthers wear royal blue, silver, and white uniforms.

BC Soccer is the governing body of adult and youth soccer in British Columbia, Canada. They are the head association for all FIFA affiliated soccer associations in BC. BCSA is located in Vancouver, British Columbia's largest city. There are different levels of play under this association. The British Columbia Soccer Premier League (BCSPL) is the highest level of play, followed by the Metro Select League (MSL), and then what was commonly known as "Gold", "Silver", "Bronze", and "House". These categories have now been changed to a divisional tiering beginning with Division 1, Division 2, and so on, where promotion and relegation processes align with professional leagues. These divisions are split by age, gender, and geographic location.

The BC Hockey Major Midget League or BC MML is the top provincial midget ice hockey league in British Columbia, Canada. Governed by BC Hockey and inaugurated in 2004, the league consists of 11 teams. Players range from 15 to 17 years old. BC MML is part of BC Hockeys' "High Proformance" program to develop the best midget-aged players around the province. The league champion goes on to compete with the top Alberta Midget Hockey League (AMHL) team to represent the Pacific region at the annual Telus Cup, Canada's national midget championship. The Fraser Valley Thunderbirds are the current 2018 champions; the Okanagan Rockets (2014) are the last team to represent the BC MML at the Telus Cup.

Brian Glenwright

Brian Joseph Glenwright was a professional ice hockey player who played between the years of 1969-1976. Prior to moving to a full-time hockey career, he attended Dartmouth College. Glenwright was best known for playing 65 games in the World Hockey Association (WHA) for the Chicago Cougars. Glenwright went by the nicknames "Glennie" and "Wimpy."

Campbell River Storm

The Campbell River Storm are a Junior "B" ice hockey team based in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada. They are members of the North Division of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL). The Storm play their home games at Rod Brind'Amour Arena. Lee Stone has been the coach since 2013. They are captained by defenceman Kyle Jennings.

The British Columbia Female Midget AAA Hockey League (BCFMAAA) is the highest-level provincial women's minor ice hockey league in British Columbia, Canada. It is run by the British Columbia Amateur Hockey Association, a member of Hockey Canada and the regional governing body of ice hockey in British Columbia. The league comprises five teams, representing four geographic "zones", and is played over a 32 game regular season. The winning team of the league playoffs has the opportunity to compete for the ESSO Cup, Hockey Canada's National Female Midget Championship.

West Coast Junior Lacrosse League Junior B box lacrosse league

The West Coast Junior Lacrosse League, or WCJLL is a Junior B Tier 2 box lacrosse league based in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada, sanctioned by the British Columbia Lacrosse Association. The league is one of two Tier 2 Junior B level leagues in British Columbia.

Pee Wee Jenkins American baseball player

James Edward Jenkins, nicknamed "Pee Wee", was an American Negro league pitcher in the 1940s and 1950s. He played for the Indianapolis Clowns, New York Cubans, and Birmingham Black Barons.
