Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy served as the 9th chief minister of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh in 1983 and then from 1992 to 1994. Reddy was a member of the Indian National Congress and was elected to the Lok Sabha six times. Reddy also served as a Union cabinet Minister, along with serving on several parliamentary committees. It was formed on 1 June 1979, with some parts carved from the neighbouring districts of Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam. The district is named after the princely state of Vizianagaram. In 2011, it was the least populous district in Andhra Pradesh.
Nellore district, officially known as Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district in Coastal Andhra Region, is one of the 26 districts in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. According to the 2011 Census, the district's population was 2,963,557 of which 29.07% was urban. Its administrative headquarters are located in Nellore city. He represents Srikakulam in the Lok Sabha constituency as a Member of Parliament. He won the general elections in the 16th, 17th, and 18th Lok Sabha. He won the 2014 Indian general election in Andhra Pradesh for the first time and retained the seat in 2019 and 2024 as a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate. He is also the National General Secretary of the TDP and the Leader of the Party in the Lok Sabha.

Golla Babu Rao is an Indian politician, currently serving as Rajya Sabha member representing YSR Congress Party. He also served as APPSC Group I officer. Before entering politics, Babu Rao worked as a Joint Commissioner of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development in Hyderabad, Telangana. He was elected thrice to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Payakaraopet. He contested for 2009, 2014, 2019 and one by election 2012, except 2014 he won all the remaining three elections. On 20 February 2024, he was unanimously elected to the Rajya Sabha as a YSR Congress Party candidate along with Y. V. Subba Reddy and Meda Raghunath Reddy.
Baddukonda Appala Naidu, alternatively Baddukonda Appalanaidu, is an Andhra Pradesh politician and YSR Congress Party leader.
Gorle Kiran Kumar is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh. He won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election on YSRCP ticket from Etcherla constituency in Srikakulam district. He defeated Kimidi Kalavenkata Rao of Telugu Desam Party by a margin of 18,711 votes. Despite opposition from local leaders, he was nominated again to contest from the Etcherla seat for the 2024 Assembly Election.
Kimidi Mrunalini is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh who won the 2014 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election from Cheepurupalli Constituency in Vizianagaram district on TDP ticket.
