Gorle Sriramulu Naidu is an Andhra Pradesh politician and Congress Party leader. He served in Srikakulam politics from 1956 to 1983.

Early life

Naidu was born in Patarlapalli village in Ranastalam, a mandal of Srikakulam district, in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

Career

He was elected Sarpanch of Patarlapalli in 1959. In 1964, he became President of Panchayat Samiti, by winning the election, and becoming the Chairman of the Srikakulam Zilla Parishad. In 1978, he was presented as a member of the Legislative Council and served as a minister in Andhra Pradesh. As a Minister, he served as the Chairman of Zilla Parishad in 1981. [1] In the 1983 elections, he lost to Tripurana Venkata Ratnam from Cheepurupalli Assembly constituency. [2]

Madduvalasa project

The Madduvalasa Reservoir Project is an irrigation project built on the Swarnamukhi River, a tributary of the Nagavali River in Srikakulam district. The project was named Sri Gorle Sriramulu Naidu Madduvalasa Reservoir Project. [3]

Legacy

Dharmana Krishnadas, Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, unveiled a statue of Naidu near the Lion Gate on Kims Hospital Road under the auspices of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTAC). [4]

Vizianagaram district is one of the six districts in the Uttarandhra region of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh with its headquarters located at Vizianagaram. Golla Babu Rao is an Indian politician, currently serving as Rajya Sabha member representing YSR Congress Party. He also served as APPSC Group I officer. Before entering politics, Babu Rao worked as a Joint Commissioner of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development in Hyderabad, Telangana. He was elected thrice to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Payakaraopet. He contested for 2009, 2014, 2019 and one by election 2012, except 2014 he won all the remaining three elections. On 20 February 2024, he was unanimously elected to the Rajya Sabha as a YSR Congress Party candidate along with Y. V. Subba Reddy and Meda Raghunath Reddy.

Baddukonda Appala Naidu, alternatively Baddukonda Appalanaidu, is an Andhra Pradesh politician and YSR Congress Party leader.

Gorle Kiran Kumar is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh. He won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election on YSRCP ticket from Etcherla constituency in Srikakulam district. He defeated Kimidi Kalavenkata Rao of Telugu Desam Party by a margin of 18,711 votes. Despite opposition from local leaders, he was nominated again to contest from the Etcherla seat for the 2024 Assembly Election.

Kimidi Mrunalini is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh who won the 2014 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election from Cheepurupalli Constituency in Vizianagaram district on TDP ticket.
