Blagoevgrad is а town in Southwestern Bulgaria, the administrative centre of Blagoevgrad Municipality and of Blagoevgrad Province. With a population of almost 70,000 inhabitants, it is the economic and cultural centre of Southwestern Bulgaria. It is located in the valley of the Struma River at the foot of the Rila Mountains, 101 kilometres south of Sofia, close to the border with North Macedonia.

Teodora Rumenova Andreeva, better known by her stage name Andrea, is a Bulgarian pop-folk singer, songwriter and video director. She was also part of the famous group Sahara, together with the Romanian Grammy Awards nominated producer Costi Ioniță they created the song "I Wanna" in collaboration with Shaggy and Bob Sinclar. The song was distributed by Yellow Productions and Ministry of Sound Australia. The track was on the top charts of Belgium, Germany and Switzerland.
Bulgaria participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song "Na inat" written by Sebastian Arman, David Bronner, Poli Genova and Borislav Milanov. The song was performed by Poli Genova. The Bulgarian broadcaster Bulgarian National Television (BNT) organised the national final Bŭlgarskata pesen v „Evroviziya 2011” in order to select the Bulgarian entry for the 2011 contest in Düsseldorf, Germany. 19 entries were selected to participate in the national final, held on 23 February 2011, where "Na inat" performed by Poli Genova emerged as the winning entry following the combination of votes from a 55-member jury panel and a public televote.

One of the show's important premises is the singing talent's quality. Four coaches train the talents in their group and occasionally perform with them. Talents are selected in blind auditions, where the coaches cannot see, but only hear the auditioner.

The eighth season of Bulgarian reality singing competition Glasat na Bulgaria premiered on 12 September 2021 and broadcasts every 20:00, at bTV. For this season, Ivan Lechev returned for his coaching duties for the fifth time, and three new coaches were announced, who include Lubo Kirov, Galena, and Dara who will replace Grafa Ampov, Kamelia and Mihaela Fileva.
