Gostyczyna [ɡɔstɨˈt͡ʂɨna] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Nowe Skalmierzyce, within Ostrów Wielkopolski County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. [1] It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) east of Skalmierzyce, 27 km (17 mi) east of Ostrów Wielkopolski, and 113 km (70 mi) south-east of the regional capital Poznań.

In 1999 the administrative seat of the gmina was moved from the town of Nowe Skalmierzyce to the adjoining locality of Skalmierzyce, which is officially classed as a village.

Its administrative seat and largest town is Ostrów Wielkopolski, which lies 100 kilometres (62 mi) south-east of the regional capital Poznań. The county contains three other towns: Nowe Skalmierzyce, 22 km (14 mi) east of Ostrów Wielkopolski, Odolanów, 10 km (6 mi) south of Ostrów Wielkopolski, and Raszków, 8 km (5 mi) north of Ostrów Wielkopolski.
