Government Inter College, Ayodhya or GIC-Ayodhya is one of the oldest middle schools of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India. [1] [2] It was established in 1883. [3]

Faizabad is a city located in Ayodhya district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated on the southern bank of the River Saryu about 6.5 km from Ayodhya City, the district headquarter, 130 km east of the state capital Lucknow. Ambedkar Nagar Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 80 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This Lok Sabha Constituency came into existence in 1996 as 11th Lok Sabha was held in April - May 1996. On 29 September 1995 Ambedkar Nagar district was carved out from Faizabad division in the memory of B. R. Ambedkar.

Ram Chandra Vikal Gurjar was a freedom fighter. He was an agriculture minister and was elected twice as a Member of Parliament as well as a five-time Member of the Legislative Assembly. He had charge of Jammu and Kashmir during the governments of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. He was also a well known yoga teacher. Vikal was influenced by the ideology of the Arya Samaj from childhood and participated in the freedom movement from his student days. An agriculturist, Vikal championed the cause of the farmers, labourers and backward classes, and was instrumental in implementing various social welfare measures such as getting irrigation rates reduced and land revenue written off.

Mulayam Singh Yadav was an Indian politician, a socialist figure and founder of the Samajwadi Party. Over the course of his political career spanning more than six decades, he served for three terms as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, and also as the Union Minister of Defence in the Government of India. A long-time parliamentarian, he was a seven-time Member of Parliament representing Mainpuri, Azamgarh, Sambhal and Kannauj constituencies in the Lok Sabha, a ten-time member of the Legislative Assembly, member of the Legislative Council and the Leader of Opposition for several times as well. The veteran politician was a prominent figure of his time in Indian politics, and was often referred to as Netaji and Dhartiputra by party leaders and workers. In 2023, the socialist leader was posthumously conferred with Padma Vibhushan, India’s second highest civilian award by the Government of India.

Dr. Nirmal Khatri is an Indian Politician and is Member of Parliament of India. He was a member of the 15th Lok Sabha and also was a member of the 8th Lok Sabha. In both terms, he represented the Faizabad constituency of Uttar Pradesh and is a member of the Indian National Congress political party.

Brij Basi Lal is an Indian freedom fighter, politician and was Member of Parliament of India. He was a member of the 3rd Lok Sabha of India. Lal represented the Faizabad constituency of Uttar Pradesh and was a member of the Congress political party.

He is presently the general secretary of the national executive of SP and he was a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly till 4 June 2024 when he was elected as an MP. He has been a nine time MLA elected from the erstwhile Sohawal (SC) constituency in 1977, 1985, 1989, 1993, 1996, 2002 and 2007 and as of latest from Milkipur (SC) in 2012 and 2022. He has become a minister for six times in the Government of Uttar Pradesh and been a cabinet minister in four of them.
