Surat is a city in the western Indian state of Gujarat. The word Surat directly translates to face in Urdu, Gujarati and Hindi. Located on the banks of the river Tapti near its confluence with the Arabian Sea, it used to be a large seaport. It is now the commercial and economic centre of South Gujarat, and one of the largest urban areas of western India. 2020 Rajya Sabha elections were the set of indirect elections by the members of State legislatures of India, to elect new members to fill vacancies in the Rajya Sabha – the upper house of the Parliament of India. Jal Utsav is an annual cultural and environmental festival held at Het Ni Haveli, Dudhala, Amreli district, Gujarat, India, focusing on water conservation and sustainable practices. It is India's first carbon-neutral festival. The festival is a collaboration between the Government of Gujarat and the Dholakia Foundation, aiming to promote environmental awareness and celebrate the region's cultural heritage.
