Graham Elwood (born August 5, 1969) is an American comedian, actor, podcaster, and writer.

Early life

Born in Stoughton, Wisconsin, Elwood grew up in the Nakoma neighborhood of nearby Madison. After his parents divorced, he later moved to Evanston, Illinois. [1] While in Evanston, Elwood went on to captain his high school's football team as well as played lacrosse. He was also the color announcer for the school's basketball games. [2]

He later graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, majoring in film. At university he began performing with a sketch comedy theatre group called Comedy Corner and did stand-up for the first time competing in the US College Comedy Competition that was emceed by Judd Apatow. [2] From there he began bicycling to Laff's Comedy Cafe on a weekly basis to do open mics. [2]

After university, he moved to Chicago where he worked as a waiter at Bella Bacino's Pizzeria and began taking classes at The Second City before landing regular road gigs for stand-up. [2]

After a few years on the road, Graham moved to Los Angeles when he turned 25 to pursue television and film. [2]

Career

Elwood hosted the Game Show Network original series Cram [3] and the USA Network and syndicated game show Strip Poker . From October 2006, he appeared in a DirecTV testimonial commercial as "Graham - Customer since '01".[ citation needed ] He co-starred with fellow comedian Doug Benson in The High Road with Doug Benson on the G4 Network and can be seen in Super High Me with Doug Benson. Elwood has made TV appearances on CBS' The Late Late Show , as well as The Sarah Silverman Program and The Benson Interruption on Comedy Central.

In 2008, he co-founded and continues to host Comedy Film Nerds with Chris Mancini, a weekly podcast. [4] Along with his US tours, Elwood has done 5 USO tours to Afghanistan and Iraq to perform for the troops. He has directed Laffghanistan: Comedy Down Range, a documentary about his experience overseas, entertaining the troops and Graham Elwood: Live from Afghanistan. Elwood has also created "Comics in Combat" to raise money for veterans. [5]

He currently hosts his own podcast called Political Vigilante, which started on June 11, 2017. [6] [7] Elwood's home was foreclosed upon by Wells Fargo. The fraudulent nature of the foreclosure, the excuses, and lack of legal enforcement against Wells Fargo have been frequent targets of Ellwood's criticism. He was initially reluctant to disclose his personal pain but was encouraged to address the subject by Jimmy Dore. Since mentioning the subject, he has received constant compliments from other victims. [8] [9]

Hard n Phirm

Hard 'n Phirm was a comedy/parody musical duo based in Los Angeles. The members are Chris Hardwick and Mike Phirman. They began performing at UCLA in 1994, but broke up in 1997, to reform 7 years later. After the success of their song "Rodeohead", they released their first and only album to date: Horses and Grasses. The album includes the song "Pi," which gained popularity from its music video, which was directed by Keith Schofield.

He hosts Talking Dead, an hourlong aftershow on AMC affiliated with the network's zombie drama series The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, as well as Talking with Chris Hardwick, a show in which Hardwick interviews prominent pop culture figures, and The Wall, a plinko-inspired gameshow on NBC. Hardwick created Nerdist Industries, operator of the Nerdist Podcast Network and home of his podcast The Nerdist Podcast, which later left the network and was renamed to ID10T with Chris Hardwick. Doug Benson American comedian and TV host

Douglas Steven Benson is an American comedian, marijuana rights advocate, television host, actor and reality-show judge who has appeared on Getting Doug With High, Comedy Central Presents, Best Week Ever, and Trailer Park Boys, and was a contestant on Last Comic Standing in the show's fifth season. He served as a judge for the Comedy Central series The High Court with Doug Benson.

Alessandro Liborio Madrigal is an American comedian, writer, actor and producer. He is a co-founder of the All Things Comedy podcast network, alongside Bill Burr. He rose to fame on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart as a regular correspondent for five seasons. Outside of the standup world, he is known for his co-starring roles in the film Night School, Showtime's dark comedy I'm Dying Up Here, NBC's About A Boy, as well as CBS sitcoms Gary Unmarried and Welcome to The Captain. Bert Kreischer American comedian and actor (b. 1972)

Bert Kreischer is an American stand-up comedian, podcaster, reality television host and actor. In 1997 he was featured in an article in Rolling Stone while attending Florida State University. The magazine named Kreischer "the top partyer at the Number One Party School in the country." The article also served as inspiration for the 2002 film National Lampoon's Van Wilder. Kreischer has served as host of the television series Hurt Bert on FX as well as Bert the Conqueror and Trip Flip on Travel Channel.
