Márta Sebestyén is a Hungarian folk vocalist, composer and actress.
Dschinghis Khan is a German Eurodisco pop band. It was originally formed in Munich in 1979 to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest with their song "Dschinghis Khan". Since 2018, there have been two groups with the name: the one led by original members Henriette Strobel and Edina Pop, and a more current group led by original member Wolfgang Heichel and Stefan Track, who replaced the late Louis Potgieter in the 2005 reunion concert.
Omega was a Hungarian rock band formed in 1962, which has been described as the most successful Hungarian rock band in history. They have released more than 20 albums both in Hungarian and English. After several early personnel changes, their classic lineup came together in 1971 and was intact for more than forty years. Singer János Kóbor was with the band continuously from 1962 to his death in 2021; keyboardist/singer László Benkő was present from 1962 until his death in 2020; while guitarist György Molnár and drummer Ferenc Debreczeni joined in 1967 and 1971 respectively. Bassist Tamás Mihály was a member of the band from 1967 to 2017. They have won several prestigious awards for their contributions to Hungarian culture.
Hungarian rock has been a part of the popular music of Hungary since the early 1960s. The first major bands were Illés, Metró and Omega. At the time, rock was not approved of by the Hungarian Communist authorities. In the 1970s, the Communists cracked down on rock, and Illés was banned from recording. Some members of the other bands formed a supergroup called Locomotiv GT, while the band Omega became very popular in Germany.
Panta Rhei were a Hungarian rock band, known for their progressive rock recordings and adaptations of classical music, for which they created synthesizers, such as the Muzix81 system. The band name refers to the philosophy of Heraclitus.

Lisztomania is the first soundtrack album by English keyboardist Rick Wakeman. It was released in November 1975 by A&M Records as the soundtrack for the Ken Russell's musical biographical film Lisztomania about the Hungarian composer Franz Liszt. By 1975, Wakeman had established himself as the former Yes keyboardist and a successful solo artist. After completing a world tour in early 1975, Wakeman was invited to compose the score to Lisztomania. Some tracks feature The Who's Roger Daltrey singing lead vocals.

Established in 1973, it has also played works by classical composers, especially Béla Bartók, who himself collected folk tunes. In the early phase, the annual ceremonies were held in association with the local Music Fund (HF) and International Federation of the Phonographic Industry Slovakia. For that reason, their follow-up equivalents were frequently renamed; once after the American Gramies (1996–1997).

The Anděl Awards is a Czech music award ceremony organized by the Czech Academy of Popular Music. It is a successor to the Annual Czechoslovak Music Award established in 1991 in Czechoslovakia. Between 1992 and 1995, it was known as Gramy, with award categories matching the American Grammy Awards and the prize being represented by a ceramic gramophone statuette. Since 1997, it bears the current name, with the prize including a statuette of an angel with open wings playing a horn, designed by sculptor Jaroslav Róna.

AWS is a Hungarian metalcore band formed in 2006 by Bence Brucker, Dániel Kökényes, Örs Siklósi and Áron Veress. Their music is characterized by diversity, powerful performances, and sudden changes, which utilizes metal, psychedelic rock, alternative and post-rock styles. Up to now, they have released four studio albums, two live albums and fourteen video clips. Their music videos often have juxtapositions of images of violence and celebrities in order to bring light to problems that the world faces, exhibiting what they call being "anti-celebrity". They represented Hungary at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal, with the song Viszlát nyár.
