Grand Canyon is a valley in Warren County in the U.S. state of Missouri. [1] The valley is an approximately four mile section of Charrette Creek which has a relatively wide floodplain (about 0.25 mile wide) between high canyon walls (about 300 feet high). The north end of the "canyon" is at 38°43′18″N91°05′21″W / 38.72167°N 91.08917°W / 38.72167; -91.08917 and the south or downstream end is at 38°39′32″N91°06′14″W / 38.65889°N 91.10389°W / 38.65889; -91.10389 . [1] [2]

The name of the valley is an allusion to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. [3]

The stream enters the Missouri River floodplain two miles west of Marthasville and joins the Missouri about four miles to the east just north of Washington.

Gore is an unincorporated community in southwest Warren County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The community lies on the north edge of the Missouri River Valley. Missouri Route 94 passes just north of the community and the Katy Trail passes the location. The Loutre Slough joins the Missouri River just south of the community.
