Grannar (Neighbors) is a politically independent local Norwegian newspaper, covering events in Etne in Vestland county and Vindafjord in Rogaland county. [1] [2]

Grannar is published two times a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. [1] [2] The newspaper employs 11 people [2] and it is published in Nynorsk. [1] The paper's office is in the village of Etne.

Grannar was originally established as a newspaper for the municipalities of Ølen (now the northern part of the municipality of Vindafjord) and Etne. The paper then merged with the former local newspaper Vindafjordingen in 1989, after which it also covered events in the municipality of Vindafjord. [1] [2]

Haugaland District Court was a district court in Rogaland and Vestland counties in Norway. The court was based in the town of Haugesund. The court existed from 2008 until 2021. It had jurisdiction over the northern part of Rogaland county and the municipality of Etne in the far southern part of Vestland county. Cases from this court could be appealed to Gulating Court of Appeal. The court was led by the chief judge Tine Margrethe Odland. This court employed a chief judge, six other judges, and nine prosecutors.

Ølensjøen or Ølen is the administrative centre of Vindafjord municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. Haugaland og Sunnhordland District Court is a district court located in Vestland and Rogaland counties in Norway. This court is based at two different courthouses which are located in Haugesund and Leirvik. The court serves the southern part of Vestland county and the northern part of Rogaland county. This court takes cases from 17 municipalities. The court in Haugesund accepts cases from the municipalities of Bokn, Etne, Haugesund, Karmøy, Sauda, Suldal, Tysvær, Utsira, and Vindafjord. The court in Leirvik accepts cases from the municipalities of Bømlo, Fitjar, Kvinnherad, Stord, Sveio, and Tysnes. The court is subordinate to the Gulating Court of Appeal.
