Vindafjord is a municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Haugaland. Since 2005, the administrative centre of the municipality has been the village of Ølensjøen. Other villages in the municipality include Bjoa, Imslandsjøen, Ølensvåg, Skjold, Vats, Vikebygd, and Vikedal. The municipality is centered on the Vindafjorden and Sandeidfjorden in the east and it lies north and east of the Skjoldafjorden in the west.

The village is located at the southern end of the Ølsfjorden, along the European route E134 highway, just east of the village of Ølensvåg. The 1.08-square-kilometre (270-acre) village has a population (2019) of 1,259 and a population density of 1,166 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,020/sq mi). It is the largest urban area in the municipality.

Haugaland og Sunnhordland District Court is a district court located in Vestland and Rogaland counties in Norway. This court is based at two different courthouses which are located in Haugesund and Leirvik. The court serves the southern part of Vestland county and the northern part of Rogaland county. This court takes cases from 17 municipalities. The court in Haugesund accepts cases from the municipalities of Bokn, Etne, Haugesund, Karmøy, Sauda, Suldal, Tysvær, Utsira, and Vindafjord. The court in Leirvik accepts cases from the municipalities of Bømlo, Fitjar, Kvinnherad, Stord, Sveio, and Tysnes. The court is subordinate to the Gulating Court of Appeal.
