Greyhound racing is an organized, competitive sport in which greyhounds are raced around a track. There are two forms of greyhound racing, track racing and coursing, the latter is now banned in most countries. Track racing uses an artificial lure that travels ahead of the greyhounds on a rail until the greyhounds cross the finish line. As with horse racing, greyhound races often allow the public to bet on the outcome.

The Del Mar Fairgrounds is a 370-acre (1.5 km2) event venue in Del Mar, California. The annual San Diego County Fair is held here, which was called the Del Mar Fair from 1984 to 2001. In 1936, the Del Mar Racetrack was built by the Thoroughbred Club with founding member Bing Crosby providing leadership.
The Hialeah Park Race Track is a historic racetrack in Hialeah, Florida. Its site covers 40 square blocks of central-east side Hialeah from Palm Avenue east to East 4th Avenue, and from East 22nd Street on the south to East 32nd Street on the north. On March 5, 1979, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Another listing for it was added in 1988. The Hialeah Park Race Track is served by the Miami Metrorail at the Hialeah Station at Palm Avenue and East 21st Street.
Wonderland Greyhound Park is a closed greyhound racing track located in Revere, Massachusetts formerly owned by the Westwood Group. It was constructed on the site of the former Wonderland Amusement Park. Wonderland opened on June 12, 1935 and formerly offered 361 races during its 100-day, April to September racing period.

Centennial Race Track was a horse racing track located in Littleton, Colorado. The facility opened on July 4, 1950 after the Colorado legislature passed the Parimutuel Act of 1948 opening the way for parimutuel betting. Nearly 10,000 people attended opening day, with a handle of over $500,000. The track faced stiff competition from nearby tracks and its geographic location placed it far from the famed stables on the east and west coasts. As a result, attendance dropped sharply during the first year. For the remainder of the 1950 season, income only averaged $50,000 per day. The track was devastated by the 1965 Great South Platte Flood, forcing the rescue of more than a hundred horses by owners, trainers and jockeys.
The Northampton Fair was a horse racing track located on the Three County Fairgrounds in Northampton, Massachusetts that opened on Labor Day in 1943. Northampton was part of a six-fair horse racing circuit in that also included Marshfield, Topsfield, Berkshire Downs, Great Barrington, and Brockton fairs.
Leangen Travbane is a harness racing course located at Leangen in Trondheim, Norway. The Montana State Fairgrounds Racetrack, also known as the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds Racetrack and as Helena Downs, is a historic horse racing track located on the outskirts of Helena, Montana, in the United States. Constructed in 1870, the track was part of the Montana State Fairgrounds, now the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds. The racetrack was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 20, 2006. Portions of the track were demolished from 2006 to 2008 due to new construction on the fairgrounds.
