Northamptonshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Northamptonshire. Its limited overs team is called the Northants Steelbacks – a reference to the Northamptonshire Regiment which was formed in 1881. The name was supposedly a tribute to the soldiers' apparent indifference to the harsh discipline imposed by their officers. Founded in 1878, Northamptonshire (Northants) held minor status at first but was a prominent member of the early Minor Counties Championship during the 1890s. In 1905, the club joined the County Championship and was elevated to first-class status, since when the team have played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England.
The Chester Road North Ground, often referred to simply as Chester Road or Kidderminster, is a cricket ground in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, England. It is the home of Kidderminster Cricket Club, and is currently used for Worcestershire County Cricket Club's Second XI matches. It was opened in 1870.
The Town Ground in Kettering, England was used by Northamptonshire for 65 first-class cricket matches between 1923 and 1971. It also staged four List A games in the early 1970s, and has occasionally been used by Northamptonshire's Second XI.

Meir Heath Cricket Club is a cricket club and ground in Meir Heath, Staffordshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1991, when Staffordshire played Shropshire in the grounds only MCCA Knockout Trophy match. In 1992, it held its first Minor Counties Championship match which saw Staffordshire play Suffolk. The following year, the ground held its second and to date final Minor Counties Championship match, which was between Staffordshire and Lincolnshire.

The first recorded match on the ground was in 1971, when the Yorkshire Second XI played the Lancashire Second XI in the Minor Counties Championship. The ground held its second and final Minor Counties Championship match the following year when Yorkshire Second XI played Cumberland.

The first archived scorecard for a match on the ground was in 1929. In 1943, the Buccaneers played Northamptonshire in a wartime charity match. In 1967, the ground hosted a single Second XI Championship match between the Surrey Second XI and the Glamorgan Second XI.
Bank of England Ground is a cricket ground in Roehampton, London. The ground is owned by the Bank of England, and is part of the Bank of England Sports Centre. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1949, when South Women Second XI played the Women's Cricket Association.

Indian Gymkhana Cricket Club Ground is a cricket ground in Osterley, London. which was founded in 1916. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1932, when Indian Gymkhana played the touring Indians. The ground has also held Middlesex Second XI fixtures, the first of which came in the 1935 Minor Counties Championship when the Middlesex Second XI played the Glamorgan Second XI. From 1935 to 1936, the ground hosted four Minor Counties Championship matches, the last of which saw the Middlesex Second XI play Cornwall.
