Green October Event 2017 was the 3rd edition of Green October Event held on 1 October 2017 at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

Belinda Effah and Caesar Ume-Ezeoke hosted the fashion show, while Efex and Nancy Isime hosted the gala night. Marvis and Soma of Big Brother Naija season 2 performed at the event. It was focused on children living with cerebral palsy in Nigeria. [1] [2]

Fashion designers that showcased their designs were House of Kosagh, Agatha Moreno, Sammielle Couture, Bella House of Fab, Hope Fashion, Gmyt Fashion Academy, JPKOUTURE, Visible Proof, Facinator by Omoge, Makioba, House of Beth, Dunskani Design and Novjok Couture. [1]

The exhibitors were Fashionjunkie Collection, Kelu, On-Ru Couture, Ma Bello Clothier, Mojisola Alankara, Bunaj, Be Fab by Beadakraft, Zandikam Visage, Yetrose Lane and Accost Collection. [1]

Her design aspect is combining traditional Chinese Suzhou embroidery with haute couture. She uses her designs as tools to introduce oriental culture to the world.

Ariyike Akinbobola

Ariyike Lawal-Akinbobola born 25 April 1982, professionally known as Ariyike Akinbobola is a Nigerian television presenter, talk show host, model, blogger, trained lawyer and occasional actress. Since 2011, she has worked as an associate producer and TV presenter for Spice TV a fashion and lifestyle channel on the DSTV platform. She hosts Spice TV's flagship programme 'On the Couch' and in addition she has produced and presented the fashion news and has as well presented other TV Shows including Sugar and Spice, Urban Spice, Instant Beauty Queen and Project Swan. She also currently presents the gadget show Spice Toys.

Mai Atafo Nigerian tailor

Mai Atafo is a Nigerian fashion tailor, noted for his brand, Mai Atafo.. He attended the Leeds-based Savile Row Academy to train as a tailor.

Lanre da Silva is a Nigerian fashon designer based in Lagos. Launched in 2005, her eponymous label includes couture, ready-to-wear, jewelry and hairpieces. Da Silva's collections often incorporate metallic fabrics, lace and African patterns, while referencing the 1940s or 1800s. The Africa Fashion Guide recognizes her as having "... created a name for herself in high fashion in Nigeria."
