Greg Smith is a Canadian musician and painter based in Toronto, Ontario. He is best known as the bassist of indie rock band The Weakerthans, which he joined in August 2004, replacing founding bassist John P. Sutton. As a member of The Weakerthans, he contributed to their latest studio album, Reunion Tour , and is featured on their live release Live at the Burton Cummings Theatre , to which he also contributed the album cover. Since 2018, Greg has been the bassist for the indie rock band The Lowest of the Low. [1]

Smith has released three solo albums as Greg Smith Sounds: Hot as a Lemon (2003), The Northern Elation (2009), [2] and Songs About Love (2022). [3]

Aside from his work with The Weakerthans and as Greg Smith Sounds, Smith plays electric guitar in the bands The Bad Dreamers, [4] [5] The Tres Bien Ensemble (which he also contributes vocals for) [6] and The Keep On Keepin Ons. [7] He has also played bass for:

Into the Unknown is the second studio album by Bad Religion, released in August 1983 through Epitaph Records. The album marks a distinct departure from the band's previous album; instead of featuring hardcore punk, the album is characterized by slower tempos, use of electronic organ and pianos, and a prog-influenced hard rock sound. Into the Unknown is the only Bad Religion album to feature Paul Dedona on bass and Davy Goldman on drums. Dedona was ejected from the band before their next recording and replaced by Tim Gallegos, while former drummer Pete Finestone returned to the band in 1986. The album also features Bad Religion's longest track to date, "Time and Disregard", which is seven minutes long.
