Gregory Uhlmann is an American musician, composer, and producer based in Los Angeles. [1] He is active in solo and collaborative projects, and has played on records by Miya Folick, Meg Duffy, Perfume Genius, among many others. [1]
Uhlmann is originally from Chicago, IL. [2] He attended the California Institute of the Arts, studying jazz guitar and composition, and graduating with a BFA in 2014. [3]
In February 2017, Uhlmann released his first full-length solo album, Odd Job, on Dog Legs Music. [4] Then in 2020, he released Neighborhood Watch, on Top Shelf Records. [5] In April 2023, Uhlmann released his next full length album, Again and Again, on Northern Spy. [1]
Uhlmann is part of many ongoing collaborative projects. In 2023, Duffy x Uhlmann, an instrumental experimental guitar duo of Uhlmann and Meg Duffy, released Doubles. [6] In 2024, SML, a jazz quintet comprised of Uhlmann, saxophonist Josh Johnson, synthesist Jeremiah Chiu, bassist Anna Butterss, and percussionist Booker Stardrum, released their first LP, entitled Small Medium Large. Dear Companion is Espers vocalist Meg Baird's first solo album. It was released in 2007 to critical praise. The album contains three traditional folk songs, four covers of more recent songs, and two original songs written by Baird. The album is lightly orchestrated traditional folk music, without Espers' psychedelic and prog influences, dense orchestration, and dark atmosphere. Dear Companion was recorded at the same time as the Espers album II, at Baird's home in Philadelphia. Two of the traditional songs also appeared on Leaves From Off the Tree, an album by Baird, Espers bandmate Helena Espvall, and Sharron Kraus that came out the year before. Two versions of the title song open and close the album, the second one a cappella.

Tyler Gregory Okonma, known professionally as Tyler, the Creator, is an American rapper, singer, and record producer. He has been cited as an influential figure in alternative hip hop during the 2010s. Okonma became well known in the late 2000s, when he emerged on the internet as the leader and co-founder of the music collective Odd Future. Within the group, Okonma participated as a rapper, producer, director and actor, releasing studio albums that he produced for its respective members. Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, better known as Odd Future and often abbreviated as OF or OFWGKTA, was an American alternative hip-hop music collective formed in Los Angeles, California in 2007. The group consisted of rappers, producers, filmmakers, skateboarders, and clothing designers.
