Mystic station is an intercity train station on the Northeast Corridor, located off Roosevelt Avenue east of downtown Mystic, Connecticut. It is served by a limited number of trains on Amtrak's Northeast Regional service, with three to five daily trains in each direction. Amtrak's Acela also passes by this station, but does not stop. Mystic is one of only three stations on the Northeast Corridor to be served exclusively by Amtrak, with no commuter rail service.

While GDRHS is the only public high school located within those communities students from Groton may also attend the public Nashoba Valley Technical High School and students from Dunstable may attend the public Greater Lowell Technical High School. Approximately 810 students attend GDRHS and they are primarily graduates of Groton-Dunstable Regional Middle School. GDRHS has a primarily college preparatory curriculum, with approximately 87% of its students attending four-year colleges and over 90% attending two- or four-year colleges upon graduation in 2010.
The Noank Historic District is a historic district encompassing the historic main part of the village of Noank in the town of Groton, Connecticut. The district contains a distinctive assortment of mid-to-late 19th-century residential architecture that is notable for its often picturesque woodwork. At the time of their construction, the village was primarily a worker village for nearby shipyards. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
The Groton and Stonington Street Railway was an interurban trolley line that extended from Groton, Connecticut, to Westerly, Rhode Island, with a later branch to Old Mystic, Connecticut, and an extension to New London. The line operated from 1904 to 1919 and 1923 to 1928, after which it was replaced by buses.
