The Guam Basketball Association (GBA) is a men's professional basketball league in the United States territory of Guam. Promoted by the Guam Basketball Confederation, [1] it is the tiny island-nation's FIBA-recognized basketball league. [2]
The GBA had its first season in 2015.
Before the start of the GBA's third season on April 2, 2017, the league announced the creation of the WGBA, a women's league sponsored by the GBA. [3] As of 2021, there was no evidence the WGBA had been inaugurated in Guam.

Basketball Löwen Braunschweig is a basketball club based in Braunschweig, Germany. The club currently plays in the Basketball Bundesliga, the top tier of German basketball. The club's home arena is Volkswagen Halle. Founded in 2001 as Metabox Braunschweig, the club was established as the separated professional team of SG Braunschweig.

The Women's Japan Basketball League is the premier women's basketball league in Japan. There are currently 14 teams playing in the league, with all of the teams being from cities in the main Japanese island of Honshu. However, from the 2024-25 season, there will be a change to a two level league structure, with the “W-League Premier” being the top league, and the “W-League Future” being the lower league. The W-League premier teams will be Fujitsu Red Wave, Denso Iris, ENEOS Sunflowers, Toyota Antelopes, Chanson V-Magic, Toyota Boshoku Sunshine Rabbits, Hitachi High-Tech Cougars, and Aisin Wings. W-League Future teams will be Mitsubishi Electric Koalas, Tokyo Haneda Vickies, Yamanashi Queenbees, Niigata Algiers BB Rabbits, Prestige International Aranmare Akita, and Himeji Egrets.
The Instituto Viver Basquetebol, commonly known simply as Lobos Brasília, was a Brazilian professional basketball club, based in Brasília, Federal District. The team was founded in 2000, and renamed in 2009, been originally related to Salgado de Oliveira University (UNIVERSO). Between 2010 and 2017 was associated with Centro Universitário de Brasília (UniCEUB) and named UniCEUB/BRB/Brasília. Their gyms are Nilson Nelson and ASCEB. In 2017, the team was dissolved.
Dion Anthony Prewster is an American-born New Zealand basketball player for the Wellington Saints of the New Zealand National Basketball League (NZNBL). He played college basketball for San Jacinto College and Stephen F. Austin State University. He served as an assistant coach of the Shimane Susanoo Magic in the Japanese B.League during the 2023–24 season.

The league is operated by the Japan Professional Basketball League and was formed as a result of a merger between the National Basketball League that was operated by the FIBA-affiliated Japan Basketball Association and the independently operated bj league. The merger had been mandated by FIBA as a condition to Japan having its membership resumed following suspension in November 2014.
