Alberic "Briek" Schotte was a Belgian professional road racing cyclist, one of the champions of the 1940s and 1950s. His stamina earned him the nickname "Iron Briek".
André Dierickx is a Belgian former professional road racing cyclist who competed between 1969 and 1981. He competed in the individual road race at the 1968 Summer Olympics. He also won the La Flèche Wallonne in 1973 and 1975, the 1971 Tour de Luxembourg, the 1978 Tour of Belgium and the 1973 Züri-Metzgete among other races.

Nokere Koerse is a European semi classic single day cycle race held in the Belgian region of Flanders. From 2005 to 2015, the race was organized as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour, and starting in 2016 it was upgraded to a 1.HC event. In 2020, the race became part of the UCI ProSeries. The Nokere Koerse was created in 1944, initially as the Grand Prix Jules Lowie in honour of 1938 Paris–Nice winner Jules Lowie who was born in Nokere. Only seven cyclists not born in Belgium or the Netherlands have won this semi classic. There was no edition in 2013 due to bad winter weather.

Geert Omloop is a Belgian former professional road racing cyclist who was born in Herentals. He is the cousin of fellow cyclist Wim Omloop and the son of Marcel Omloop. He turned professional in 1997 having raced for several professional teams in 1995 and 1996 as a trainee. He became the Belgian National Road Race Champion in 2003, but lost the title in 2004 when he finished second.
