Gunner Britton (born February 29, 2000) [1] is an American professional football offensive guard who is a free agent. He played college football for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers and the Auburn Tigers.
Britton grew up in Conway, South Carolina and attended Conway High School where he lettered in football and baseball. [2] He was rated as a two-star recruit and committed to play college football for Western Kentucky University. [3]
Britton was redshirted during his true freshman season in 2018. During the 2019 season, he appeared in all-but-one game and started the first two, finishing the season with 139 total offensive snaps including 50 in the season opener against Central Arkansas and the second game against FIU. [4] During the 2020 season, he appeared in all 12 games and started two of them, finishing the season with 52 total offensive snaps including 41 of them as a sixth offensive lineman and a season high 14 against Louisville. [5] During the 2021 season, he played in 13 games, finishing the season with 17 sacks making it the 12th best in college football and second best within the Conference USA. [6] During the 2022 season, he played in and started all 14 games, finishing the season with a reception for 12 yards and 14 sacks making it the 10th best in college football and second best within the Conference USA. [7] He also helped the team win the 2022 New Orleans Bowl.
On November 29, 2022, prior to playing in the New Orleans Bowl, Britton announced that he would enter the transfer portal. [8]
On January 6, 2023, Britton announced that he would transfer to Auburn. [9]
During the 2023 season, he played in and started all 13 games including the 2023 Music City Bowl. [10] He was the team game captain for three games, was named the SEC offensive lineman of the week for two consecutive weeks [11] [12] and played in the 2024 Hula Bowl. [13]

After not being selected in the 2024 NFL draft, Britton signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent. [15] He was released as part of final roster cuts on August 27. [16]
Marcus McNeill is an American former professional football player who was an offensive tackle for six seasons with the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Auburn Tigers football, and was two-time All-American. San Diego selected McNeill in the second round of the 2006 NFL draft, and he played his entire pro career with the Chargers. He was selected to the Pro Bowl twice.
Troy Stanley Reddick is a former American football offensive lineman and personal trainer with John Charles' Air One Football Academy. He chose to sign with the Chicago Bears over the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He played college football at Auburn University where he was an integral part of the undefeated 2004 season that culminated in a Sugar Bowl victory.

Arthur Gustavo Malzahn III is an American football coach. He is currently the head coach at the University of Central Florida (UCF). He was the head football coach at Auburn University from 2013 to 2020. He helped lead the 2010 Auburn Tigers to a national championship. As head coach at Auburn, he led the team to a SEC Championship win and an appearance in the 2014 national championship. Malzahn has coached Heisman winner Cam Newton and two Heisman finalists: Nick Marshall and Tre Mason, including coaching 14 All-Americans. During Malzahn's tenure at Auburn, he was the second-longest tenured head coach at one school in the SEC, behind Nick Saban. Out of active head coaches, Malzahn also holds the best record against coach Saban.
Kenneth Earl Rice was an American football offensive tackle and guard who played in the American Football League (AFL) for the Buffalo Bills, Oakland Raiders, and the Miami Dolphins. Rice played college football for the Auburn Tigers, where he was named a two-time All-American. He was selected by the Bills with the first overall pick of the 1961 AFL draft.
Zac Tubbs is a former Division I athlete who earned athletic honors on the high school, collegiate, and professional level. He was named to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's All-Arkansas SEC Third Team on August 6, 2017.
