Life

When 14 years old, Gustav acted in Close by Lukas Dhont as Rémi. During a summer theater camp, he got recommended by Dhont's friend Oliver Roels for the casting of the movie. [1] [2] Close was submitted by Belgium to the 95th Academy Awards in the category Best International Feature Film [3] and was eventually nominated. [4] Gustav is currently studying at Kunsthumaniora Brussel  [ nl ]. [5]

He was featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list in 2019. His second feature film, Close, premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, where he shared the Grand Prix with Claire Denis' Stars At Noon.
