Eighty-three gymnasts competed in the balance beam event during the qualification round on September 17. The eight highest scoring gymnasts advanced to the final on September 25. Each country was limited to two competitors in the final.

Phan Thị Hà Thanh is a Vietnamese artistic gymnast from Haiphong and a two-time Olympian. She became the first gymnast to win a world medal for Vietnam, capturing the bronze on vault at the 2011 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships

The 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships was the forty-sixth edition of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The competition was held from 23 October – 1 November 2015 at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, United Kingdom, and is the first time that Scotland hosted the event. The competition served as a qualification for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
