Gyula Borka (born 3 June 1959 in Budapest, Hungary) is a retired Hungarian athlete, who specialized in the long-distance running events. He represented his native European country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona (Spain), finishing in 38th place (2:20:46).

Joan Benoit Samuelson is an American marathon runner who was the first women's Olympic Games marathon champion, winning the gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. She held the fastest time for an American woman at the Chicago Marathon for 32 years after winning the race in 1985. Her time at the Boston Marathon was the fastest time by an American woman at that race for 28 years. She was inducted into the Maine Women's Hall of Fame in 2000.
Roger Kingdom is an American former sprint hurdler who was twice Olympic champion in the 110 meters. Kingdom set a world record of 12.92 in 1989. He is now an athletics coach and strength and conditioning coach who currently works as a speed and conditioning coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL.
Adrián Zsolt Annus is a Hungarian hammer thrower, who was stripped of his gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens for a doping violation in a highly publicized scandal. The disqualification received heightened attention, as it came on the heels of several drug scandals at the Athens Games and came as Annus' teammate, discus thrower Róbert Fazekas was also stripped of his Olympic title for a doping violation. The incident also received attention, as Annus refused for several months to return his gold medal, relenting only after the International Olympic Committee put pressure on the Hungarian Olympic Committee and threatened sanctions.
Kenneth Clark Moore was an American Olympic road running athlete and journalist. He ran the marathon at the 1968 and 1972 Summer Olympics, finishing fourth at the latter.
Robert Owen Kennedy Jr. is an American distance runner. Now retired, In 1996 he was ranked 4th in the world at the 5000 meters. He once held the American record in the 3000 meters (7:30.84), 2 miles (8:11.59) and the 5000 meters (12:58.21).
József Várszegi was a Hungarian athlete who competed in the javelin throw. Among his best results are a European Championships bronze medal from 1938 and an Olympic Games bronze from 1948. Várszegi won the Hungarian national championships a record 20 times between 1932 and 1952 and also broke the Hungarian national record six times during his career.
László Szalma is a retired Hungarian long jumper. He won six medals at the European Indoor Championships—two gold, three silver and one bronze—and finished fourth at the 1980 Olympic Games and the 1983 World Championships. Olga Kazi is a retired female middle distance runner from Hungary. She is a multiple Hungarian Athletics Championships winner, having collected two gold medals in 400 metres, five on 800 metres and one each in 1500 metres and cross country running. In addition Kazi twice represented her native country at the Summer Olympics: in 1960 and 1964. She set her personal best in the women's 800 metres (2:05.0) on 16 September 1962 at the European Championships in Belgrade.

Zita Kácser is a retired Hungarian Olympic distance runner. She also twice represented Hungary at the European Athletics Championships in the 3000 metres steeplechase. A twelve-time Hungarian champion overall, Kácser Zita won national titles twice over 3000m indoors as well as winning multiple titles outdoors. These came in the steeplechase, 5000m, 10,000m and the half-marathon.
