Hockey Club Slovan Bratislava is a professional ice hockey club based in Bratislava, Slovakia. In 2012, it left the Slovak Extraliga and joined the international Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). In 2019, it returned to the Tipos Extraliga. The club has won nine Slovak championships, one Czechoslovak championship (1979) and one IIHF Continental Cup (2004), making it the second most successful hockey club in Slovak history after their biggest rival HC Košice. The team plays its home games at Ondrej Nepela Arena, also known as Slovnaft Arena. The team is nicknamed Belasí, which means the "sky blues" in English.

Not all teams have pronounced rivalries that don't change with each season - this article attempts to chronicle only those that last for multiple years.

The 2012–13 KHL season was the fifth season of the Kontinental Hockey League. The regular season began on 4 September with the Lokomotiv Cup between last year's finalists Dynamo Moscow and Avangard Omsk. The league consisted of 26 teams from 7 countries for the first time. Dynamo Moscow successfully defended their title after beating Traktor Chelyabinsk in the Gagarin Cup finals.

The 2014–15 HC Slovan Bratislava season has been the 3rd season for Bratislava based club in Kontinental Hockey League. Slovan started the season with a series of three wins, which was the best start since Slovan joined KHL. Then, after a series of three games without a win the head coach Rostislav Čada asked for release from his contract, which was accepted by Slovan's executives. In the following home game against CSKA Moscow the team was led by Vladimír Országh, former assistant coach. On September 23 it was announced that a Finnish coach Petri Matikainen would lead Slovan until the end of this season.

The 2015–16 season was the 4th season of the Bratislava-based club HC Slovan Bratislava in the Kontinental Hockey League. On July 2 it was officially announced that Slovan would continue playing in the KHL, with Miloš Říha appointed head coach. Tomáš Surový was appointed team captain with Ladislav Nagy and Michal Sersen as alternate captains.

The 2016–17 HC Slovan Bratislava season will be the 5th season for Bratislava based club in Kontinental Hockey League.

The 2018–19 KHL season was the 11th season of the Kontinental Hockey League. The season started on 1 September 2018 and ended on 19 April 2019. Continental Cup winners CSKA Moscow became the first team to win the Gagarin Cup finals in a series sweep, defeating Avangard Omsk in four games to win their first Gagarin Cup, after two previous Finals defeats.

The 2019–20 KHL season was the 12th season of the Kontinental Hockey League. There were 24 teams that competed in 62 regular season games. The season began with the Opening Cup on 1 September 2019, and the regular championship ran until 27 February 2020. The playoffs were scheduled to take place from 1 March through until 30 April. The All-Star Weekend took place over 18–19 January 2020.
