Hammes Company is a real estate development and investment company focused on healthcare and sports headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. [1] It was founded in 1991 by Jon Hammes. [2]
Hammes Company was founded by Jon D. Hammes in 1991 as a real estate consulting firm. [3] By 1993, the company managed over $100 million in property development and $25 million in facility development in five Midwestern states. [4] In the mid-1990s, the Hammes Company oversaw the development of the Kohl Center at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, which led to the creation of the company’s sports division. [5]
In 2007, Hammes Company purchased the majority share of a company called Health Inventures that developed and managed ambulatory surgery facilities internationally. [6] In 2008, the company was engaged to manage the development of the first new hospital in the New Orleans area since Hurricane Katrina; [7] the facility, St. Bernard Parish Hospital, opened in 2012. The company was hired by the Green Bay Packers for the 2003 renovation of Lambeau Field. [9]
