Hemza Haloui (born 10 July 1994) is an Algerian Greco-Roman wrestler. [1] At the 2016 Summer Olympics he competed in the Men's Greco-Roman -98 kg.

Greco-Roman, Graeco-Roman, classic wrestling is a style of wrestling that is practiced worldwide. Greco-Roman wrestling was included in the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 and has been in every edition of the summer Olympics held since 1904. Karam Ibrahim Gaber is an Egyptian Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the gold medal in the Men's Greco-Roman 96 kg at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and won the silver medal at the 2003 World Championships. At the 2012 London Olympics, he won a silver medal. He was suspended by United World Wrestling for two years in August 2015, because of a "whereabouts failure" during his doping test.

Wrestling competitions at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, were held at the China Agricultural University Gymnasium from 12–21 August 2008. It was split into two disciplines, Freestyle and Greco-Roman which are further divided into different weight categories. Men competed in both disciplines whereas women only took part in the freestyle events with 18 gold medals being awarded. This was the second Olympics with women's wrestling as an event.

At the 1920 Summer Olympics, ten wrestling events were contested, for all men. There were five weight classes in Greco-Roman wrestling and five classes in Catch as Catch Can, predecessor to freestyle wrestling. The competitions were held from Monday, August 16 to Friday, August 20, 1920 (Greco-Roman) and from Wednesday, August 25 to Friday, August 27, 1920 (freestyle).

In 2001, Daragan had won two bronze medals for his division at the World Wrestling Championships in Patras, Greece, and at the European Wrestling Championships in Istanbul, Turkey. Tarvi Thomberg is a retired amateur Estonian Greco-Roman wrestler, who competed in the men's light heavyweight category. Thomberg represented his nation Estonia at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and has also held three Estonian and Nordic championship titles in the light heavyweight division. Before retiring from the sport in 2008, Thomberg trained as a member of the wrestling team for MK Juhan Märjamaa under his personal coach Henn Põlluste.
