Hannah Davis (born 11 August 1985) is an Australian sprint canoeist who has competed since the late 2000s. She won a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing in the K-4 500 m event. She also represented Australia at 2012 Summer Olympics in the K-4 500 m event, but did not medal.
Nicknamed Han, Shevs and Davo, [1] Davis was born 11 August 1985 in Adelaide, South Australia. [1] [2] [3] She attended Mercedes College in South Australia before going to University of Adelaide from 2004 to 2009, where she earned a Bachelor of International Studies. [3] [4] In December 2011, she earned at Masters of Arts in International Relations from the University of Adelaide. [1]
As a child, Davis was a competitive swimmer. This required her to wake up at 5 am every morning to train. [5] Other sports she participated in as a youngster included running and netball. [5] She is also surf lifesaver, [1] [6] competing in the sport when not involved with canoeing. [1] Davis weighs 70 kilograms (150 lb) and is 167 centimetres (66 in) tall. [2] [3]
Davis came into the sport through surf lifesaving. [6] She is a member of the Holdfast Bay Canoe Club. [1] [2] [3] She primarily trains in Adelaide, with a secondary training base in the Gold Coast, Queensland. [3] She has a canoe scholarship with the South Australian Sports Institute and the Australian Institute of Sport. [1] [3]
Davis represented Australia at the 2008 Summer Olympics, where she won a bronze medal in the K-4 500 metres event. [1] [2] [5] Her parents watched her win the bronze medal in China. [5] In the Women's Kayak Doubles, 500 metres event, she finished fifth. [2]
Davis finished third in the K2 200m event and 5th in the K4 500m event at the 2011 World Championships in Szeged, Hungary. [3] She finished 7th in the K4 500m event at the 2011 World Cup 3 in Duisburg, Germany. [3] She finished 5th in the K4 500m event at the 2011 World Cup 2 in Racice, Czech Republic. [3] She finished 1st in the K4 500m event at the 2012 National Championships in Penrith, Australia. [3] She finished 1st in the K4 500m event at the 2012 Oceania Championships in Penrith, Australia. Davis was selected to represent Australia at 2012 Summer Olympics in the K-4 500 m event. [5] Before the start of the Games, she and her canoe teammates trained in Italy at the AIS European Training Centre located in Varese. [7] [8] Going into the London Games, she was coached by David Foureur who has coached her since 2003 and by Martin Marinov who has coached her since 2007. [3] The Australian K-4 did not qualify for the finals at London 2012.

Danuta Kozák is a Hungarian sprint canoeist. She has won one silver, one bronze and six Olympic gold medals, three of which in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, making her the only female to win K1, K2 and K4 at the same Olympics. At the 2020 Summer Olympics, she won a gold medal in Women's K-4 500 metres, and bronze medal in Women's K-2 500 metres.
Bridgitte Ellen Hartley is a South African canoe sprinter who has competed since the late 2000s. She won a bronze medal in the K-1 1000 m event at the 2009 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Dartmouth. Three years later, at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, Bridgitte again won the bronze medal, this time in the K-1 500m event. In August 2014, she replicated her Olympic form, and at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Moscow she picked up a third career bronze model in international competition. Hartley became the first person from both South Africa and the African continent to medal at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships. Hartley also competed in the K-2 500 m event at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, but was eliminated in the semifinals.
Rachel Cawthorn is a British sprint canoer who has competed since the late 2000s. Cawthorn, representing Great Britain at the London 2012 Olympics, is a double Olympic finalist in the Women's K1 and K4 events.
Jessica Esther "Jess" Fox is a French-born Australian Program and Policy Officer and world and Olympic champion slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2008.
Dame Lisa Marie Carrington is a flatwater canoeist and New Zealand's most successful Olympian, having won a total of five gold medals and one bronze medal. She won three consecutive gold medals in the Women's K‑1 200 metres at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2016 Summer Olympics and 2020 Summer Olympics, as well as gold in the same event at the 2011 Canoe Sprint World Championships. At the 2020 Summer Olympics she also won a gold medal in the K‑2 500 metres, with crewmate Caitlin Regal, and as an individual in the K‑1 500 metres.

She competed in the women's K-2 500 metres event at the 2016 Summer Olympics and in the women's K2 500 metres and women's K1 500 metres at the 2020 Summer Olympics. In 2017 she won her maiden World Championship title in the K1 1000m. She has also won a string of World Cup medals. In the Under 23 Category she won two Bronze Medals at the World Championships.
