Hans Kockelmans (born 20 February 1956) [1] is a Dutch composer, teacher, and performer of Early Classical and electronic music.
He studied baroque lute with Mijndert Jape, as well as electronic music, and classical guitar at the Maastricht conservatory.
In his compositions he is a pioneer of granular synthesis. His electronic music as well as his acoustic work frequently refers to medieval themes. He composes for such unusual instruments as the Phantastron. [2]
He has collaborated with Roman Turovsky on a number of experimental compositions involving lute and torban. [3]
Hans is a nephew of Dutch composer Gerard Kockelmans. He lives in Maastricht and is active in an organization of composers in his region, Dutch Limburg.

Schneiderman received his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Irvine, studying guitar under Frederick Noad. He continued his studies at the Schola Cantorum in Basel, Switzerland with lutenist Eugen Müller-Dombois.

Jacob Bathen or Jacob Baethen, Latinised as Jacobus Bathius, Iacobus Batius and Jacobus Bathenius, was a Flemish bookseller, printer and publisher of the 16th century, mainly known now for music publications. He is sometimes confused with Johannes Baethen, a printer active in Leuven and Cologne between 1552 and 1562, who was likely his brother. Jacob was active in Leuven, Maastricht and Düsseldorf. He is mainly remembered for his publication of the so-called Maastricht songbook of 1554, which is one of only five surviving song books in the Dutch language from the 16th century.
