Hans "Hasse" Nilsson (born 22 December 1972) is a Swedish current drummer for the band Dimension Zero.
His experience within the Swedish metal scene goes back many years, and has included many of its luminaries; Liers in Wait , with Kristian Wåhlin; Luciferion, an early band of Dark Tranquillity's Michael Nicklasson; [1] and Crystal Age, consisting of Oscar Dronjak (HammerFall, ex-Ceremonial Oath) and Fredrik Larsson (ex-HammerFall). Dimension Zero features former In Flames guitarist Jesper Strömblad, also formerly of Ceremonial Oath and HammerFall.
Nilsson's style generally sways within the "blastbeat/double bass" tempo that is typical of death metal. However, one exception can be seen in Diabolique, which takes strong influence from gothic metal.
Nilsson started as a guitarist in his early days but switched to play the drums. He still plays guitar and wrote one of the songs on Dimension Zero's debut album Silent Night Fever . He also wrote a lot of the music in the band Crystal Age.
HammerFall is a Swedish power metal band from Gothenburg. The band was formed in 1993 by ex-Ceremonial Oath guitarist Oscar Dronjak.
Dark Tranquillity is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Gothenburg. They are considered one of the pioneering acts of the Gothenburg metal scene, which also includes bands such as In Flames and At the Gates - regarded as the Gothenburg fathers in the film entitled Out of Nothing: A DT Documentary released by Century Media, which was filmed in their home town in April 2009. After a nearly three-decade long collaboration of four founding members frequent lineup changes between 2016 and 2021 have left only vocalist Mikael Stanne as an original member, together with long-time keyboardist Martin Brändström.
At the Gates is a Swedish death metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1990. The band was a major progenitor of Gothenburg-style melodic death metal alongside In Flames and Dark Tranquillity. Prior to their first disbandment in 1996, At the Gates released four albums, ending with and including Slaughter of the Soul (1995), which has been seen as a landmark in the mid-1990s Swedish death metal scene as well as being a major inspiration for many metalcore bands. After reuniting for a one-off tour in 2008, the band reformed once again in 2011, and they have since released three more albums: At War with Reality (2014), To Drink from the Night Itself (2018) and The Nightmare of Being (2021).
Lost Horizon is a Swedish power metal band from Gothenburg. The band has esoteric stage personas similar to sword and sorcery fantasy, with the members wearing studded leather, cloaks and face paint. In their albums' liner notes, their stage names and roles are exaggerated to sound mystical and otherworldly in nature; for example, guitarist and lyricist Wojtek Lisicki is credited as the "Earthshape" of the "Transcendental Protagonist" and credited for "Poesy of Spiritual Enlightenment/String Romanticism", with his proper roles given as a "Translation For Mortals".
Clas Håkan Jesper Strömblad is a Swedish musician who is the guitarist of the bands The Halo Effect, Dimension Zero and Cyhra, and formerly of In Flames and The Resistance. He is best known as the founder and former guitarist/drummer/keyboardist of the pioneering melodic death metal band In Flames, guitarist of the band Sinergy, bassist of Ceremonial Oath and drummer of HammerFall. In 2013, he joined Nightrage as a session guitarist.
Dimension Zero is a melodic death metal band based in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was formed in 1995 as a side project by In Flames' former guitarists Jesper Strömblad and Glenn Ljungström. The former Marduk drummer and vocalist Jocke Gothberg joined later on vocals, as well as Hans Nilsson on drums.
Glenn Ljungström is a Swedish guitarist from Nödinge-Nol. He was a guitarist and composer in a few Swedish metal bands. He was most notably in the melodic death metal band In Flames from 1993 to 1997. He quit In Flames to support his family with a more stable job. The other two bands that which he took part in 1995 were in HammerFall until 1997, and a side project he co-founded with Jesper Strömblad called Dimension Zero, which he remained in until 2003. He was lastly the guitarist for a band called The Resistance with Jesper Strömblad and Marco Aro from 2011 until 2015.
Kristian Wåhlin is a Swedish musician, singer, graphic designer and album cover artist for many bands in the extreme metal scene worldwide. He is often credited under his pseudonym Necrolord.
Niklas Sundin is a Swedish musician, best known as a founding member and former lead guitarist of the melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity from 1989–2020. In 2019, he founded his own band called Mitochondrial Sun, which has released two full-length studio albums to date. He was also one of the guitarists in Laethora from 2005–2010.
Oscar Fredrick Dronjak is a Swedish guitarist and founder of the power metal band HammerFall. Prior to the success of HammerFall, he also played and released albums with the death metal acts Ceremonial Oath and Crystal Age.
Björn Tom Fredrik Nordström is a Swedish musician and record producer, best known as the guitarist of heavy metal band Dream Evil. Nordström is one of the leading melodic death metal and power metal producers in Sweden and has worked with some of said genres' top acts, including At the Gates, Arch Enemy, Nightrage, Dark Tranquillity, In Flames, Soilwork, Opeth, and Powerwolf.

Diabolique is a Swedish gothic metal band formed in 1995 after the dissolution of Liers in Wait. The group is heavily influenced by The Sisters of Mercy, Black Sabbath, and Fields of the Nephilim, and in sound are similar to the styles of Charon, Tiamat, Moonspell, and Type O Negative.

Admonish is a Swedish unblack metal band formed in 1994. They were one of the first bands in the Christian black metal movement and the first Christian black metal group in Sweden. While the band did not release anything until 2005, the magazine Metal Hammer called Admonish "One of the leading Christian black metal bands" in a 1990s issue which focused on black metal. In 2006 Admonish achieved some mainstream notice when the twins Emil (guitar) and Jonas Karlsson (bass) both appeared on the MTV Europe show Pimp My Ride International on 6 October. On that show, in which their car was modified, the twins advertised their band and Admonish's music was played. The former Admonish member Per Sundberg was also a guitar-player in Crimson Moonlight.
No Sacrifice, No Victory is the seventh studio album by Swedish power metal band HammerFall, released 20 February 2009. It was partly recorded at PAMA Studios, Torsås and partly at Andy La Rocque's Sonic Train Studios in Varberg. This is the first album featuring the band's new lead guitarist Pontus Norgren, the return of bassist Fredrik Larsson who played bass from 1994 to 1997, as well as the first to have the band tuning all of their guitars in all songs to D tuning as opposed to the E-flat tuning seen on most songs from all previous albums.
