Harold Kerzner (born ca 1940) is an American engineer, management consultant, Emeritus Professor of Systems Management at Baldwin Wallace University, and Sr. Executive Director for Project Management at the International Institute for Learning, [1] known for his work in the field of project management. [2]

Education

Kerzner received an MS and PhD at the University of Illinois and an MBA at Utah State University.[ citation needed ]

Career

Kerzner started as an engineer at the Thiokol Corporation, where he worked in program management and project engineering. Later he started his academic career at the University of Illinois teaching engineering, and afterwards at Utah State University teaching business administration. [3] [ better source needed ]

In the early 1980s, he became Professor of Systems Management at Baldwin-Wallace College, now Baldwin Wallace University. [4]

In 1998, Kerzner received the Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to project management from the Utah State University, and the University of Illinois granted him the Distinguished Recent Alumni Award. The Project Management Institute, the Northeast Ohio Chapter, annually grants the Kerzner Award for excellent achievements in project management to a company or individual. [5]

Kerzner is the Executive Director for International Institute for Learning (IIL). [1] With the company, he has authored numerous books about Project Management.[ citation needed ]

Simon Cleveland is an American scholar-practitioner, associate professor of the practice, and faculty director at Georgetown University. He is the former executive director and associate dean for The Technology Institute at the City University of Seattle. Cleveland is a graduate of George Mason University and The George Washington University. While a doctoral student, Cleveland was the three-time recipient of the Dr. Harold Kerzner Scholarship. In 2014, he earned his Ph.D. in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University. His dissertation was titled "A Causal Model to Predict Organizational Knowledge Sharing via Information and Communication Technologies". He also holds certificates in education, analytics, and big data from Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2017, Cleveland earned the Tropaia Award: Outstanding Faculty for his work with the Master of Professional Studies in Project Management at Georgetown University.
