Harrie Hendrickx is a former Belgian local politician in Schoten for the Christian democratic CVP/CD&V party.
Hendrickx studied Political and Social sciences and subsequently Bookkeeping. After finishing his education, he entered the financial sector, and was employed at A.V., BAC, BACOB and finally Dexia. In 1983 he started as an independent insurance consultant. [1]
In 1970 he became politically active during the local elections, and was elected to the municipal council. Hendrickx was able to hold on to this position until May 2003, when he was appointed as acting mayor, replacing then mayor Tony Sebrechts (also a member of the CD&V party). After the fulfilling of legal formalities in June, he was appointed as mayor. [2]
In 2002, he was subject of a larger investigation into literary forgery and violations of the building regulations. Due to the running investigation, he could not be sworn in as mayor by provincial governor Camille Paulus, having won the municipal elections that year. The charges against him were eventually dropped by the prosecutor because no evidence of wrongdoing had been found, and Hendrickx was able to start his second term. [3] Hendrickx also gained prominence in the national media during the runup to the same election, after declaring he was willing to break the cordon sanitaire and form a coalition with the far right Vlaams Belang, led by Marie-Rose Morel. Eventually, this turned out to be unnecessary, as the tripartite of CD&V/N-VA, VLD and SP.A was formed instead. [4] In the local elections of 2012, Hendrickx and the CD&V were defeated by the N-VA candidate Maarten De Veuster, who is coincidentally also his son in law. He has since retired from politics. [5]

Schoten is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality only comprises the town of Schoten proper. As of 1 January 2018 Schoten has a total population of 34,462. The total area is 29.55 km2 (11.41 sq mi) which gives a population density of 1,122 inhabitants per km². Schoten borders the Antwerp districts Merksem to the west and Deurne to the south west. Neighboring municipalities include Brasschaat to the north, Brecht to the north east, Schilde to the east, and Wijnegem to the south.
Rotselaar is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish-Brabant, near the convergence of the Demer and the Dijle. Since January 1, 1977 the municipality comprises the towns of Rotselaar proper, Werchter and Wezemaal. On January 1, 2006, Rotselaar had a total population of 15,068. Geert Albert Bourgeois is a Belgian politician for the N-VA. July 2014 to July 2019, he was the Minister-President of Flanders. He previously worked as a lawyer at the Kortrijk bar, and served as a member of the Belgian federal parliament for the Volksunie (1995-2001) and for the N-VA (2001-2004).

Leendert Arent-Willem de Lange is a Dutch politician. He has been mayor of Wassenaar since 18 July 2019. Previously he was a member of the House of Representatives for the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy, serving from 31 March 2015 to 23 March 2017 and once again from 31 October 2017 to 3 July 2019. De Lange was alderman in Noordwijk between 2006 and 2013 and in Wassenaar between 2013 and 2014 where he also served as deputy mayor.

Hans A.J. Smolders is a Dutch politician, former professional ice hockey player, and entrepreneur. He worked as a refrigeration mechanic until he sold his company in 2001. The next year, he was elected member of the House of Representatives as a member of the party Pim Fortuyn List. He served in this position for less than a year. Since then, Smolders has been active in local politics in his home town Tilburg, being a member of the municipal council for most of this period. In 2019, he was elected member of the States of North Brabant.
Joachim Coens is a Belgian politician and businessman who has served as the leader of Christen-Democratisch en Vlaams, a Christian democratic political party since December 2019. Before politics, he had been managing director of the holding company for the Port de Bruges-Zeebruges.
