The City Country Alliance was a short-lived Australian political party, operating exclusively in Queensland, that briefly held six Queensland state parliamentary seats. It was founded in the wake of Pauline Hanson's One Nation experiencing severe ructions in Queensland, the home state of founder Pauline Hanson.
An election was held in the Australian state of Queensland on 17 February 2001 to elect the 89 members of the state's Legislative Assembly. The result of the election was the return of the Labor Party (ALP) government of Premier Peter Beattie, with an increased majority. Labor won 66 seats, easily the most it has ever won in Queensland and one of Labor's best-ever results nationwide. There was a 10.07% swing towards Labor, while One Nation suffered a 13.98% swing against it, losing eight seats.

David Bruce Dalgleish is a former Australian politician, Fraser Coast Councillor, State Member, and Deputy Mayor. Born in Epping, he was a licensed motor mechanic, welder and LPG fitter before entering politics, and owned a transport business. In 1998, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Queensland as a member of Pauline Hanson's One Nation, representing the seat of Hervey Bay. He remained in the party until December 1999, when he and the other remaining One Nation MPs formed the City Country Alliance under the leadership of Bill Feldman. He was the Alliance spokesman for Emergency Services, Transport and Main Roads, Housing and Public Works. In 2001, he was defeated by Andrew McNamara of the Labor Party.

Peter Ross Prenzler is a former Australian politician. Born in Boonah, he served in the Royal Australian Artillery and the Citizens Military Force 1969–1971. He was a veterinary surgeon at Kalbar before entering politics. In 1998, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Queensland as a member of Pauline Hanson's One Nation, representing the seat of Lockyer. He remained in the party until December 1999, when he and the other One Nation MPs left the party to form the City Country Alliance, of which Prenzler became deputy leader. In addition to the deputy leadership, he held the position of spokesperson for Health, Primary Industries, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Policy, Natural Resources, Environment and Heritage, Fair Trading and Women's Policy. He contested the 2001 state election but was defeated by One Nation candidate Bill Flynn.

He was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland from January 2015 until November 2017, representing the electorate of Cairns. Pyne was elected for the Australian Labor Party, but resigned to sit as an independent in March 2016; he then lost his seat to a Labor candidate at the 2017 election. Pyne was formerly a two-term councillor for the Cairns Regional Council. Pyne is the first quadriplegic member of any parliament of Australia.
