Hart Creek (South Dakota)

Hart Creek is a stream in Perkins County in the U.S. state of South Dakota. [1] It is a tributary to Thunder Butte Creek.

The headwaters arise at 45°32′01″N102°19′42″W / 45.53361°N 102.32833°W / 45.53361; -102.32833 [1] an elevation of 2770 feet about six miles east of Bison and just north of South Dakota Highway 20 and southeast of the Boxcar Buttes area. [2]

The confluence with Thunder Butte Creek is just south of the community of Chance [3] at 45°24′39″N102°17′01″W / 45.41083°N 102.28361°W / 45.41083; -102.28361 Coordinates: 45°24′39″N102°17′01″W / 45.41083°N 102.28361°W / 45.41083; -102.28361 and an elevation of 2507 feet. [1]

Hart Creek was named after an early settler. [4]
