Electronic body music (EBM) is a genre of electronic music that combines elements of industrial music and synth-punk with elements of dance music. It developed in the early 1980s in Western Europe, as an outgrowth of both the punk and the industrial music cultures. It combines sequenced repetitive basslines, programmed dance music rhythms, and mostly undistorted vocals and command-like shouts with confrontational or provocative themes.

It rose to mainstream popularity in the UK and Europe by 1963 before spreading to North America in 1964 with the British Invasion. Fehlfarben is a Neue Deutsche Welle music band from Düsseldorf, Germany, that was formed in 1979. Its founding members were Peter Hein (vocals), former member of the German punk band Mittagspause, Thomas Schwebel, Michael Kemner, Frank Fenstermacher, Markus Oehlen and Uwe Bauer.

Bunte is a German-language weekly celebrity gossip magazine published by Hubert Burda Media. The first edition was published in 1948 under the name Das Ufer. Under the leadership of Hubert Burda, Bunte developed into a modern popular magazine. In 2014, Bunte was the 11th most popular media brand in Germany, with 10.57 million monthly users. After Patricia Riekel stepped down, Robert Pölzer took over as Editor-in-Chief in July 2016.
"Shakin' All Over" is a song originally performed by Johnny Kidd & the Pirates. It was written by leader Johnny Kidd, and his original recording reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart in August 1960. The song is sometimes credited to Frederick Albert Heath, which is Kidd's real name. Kidd's recording was not a hit outside Europe. In other parts of the world the song is better known by recordings from other artists.
The Lords are a German beat and rock band formed in Berlin in 1959. They are one of the longest-running beat groups from Germany, spanning the last half century. They are best known for their work during the sixties and early seventies and are noted for their sometimes humorous and irreverent approach.

British rock and roll, or sometimes British rock 'n' roll, is a style of popular music based on American rock and roll, which emerged in the late 1950s and was popular until the arrival of beat music in 1962. It was important in establishing British youth and popular music culture and was a key factor in subsequent developments that led to the British Invasion of the mid-1960s. Since the 1960s, some stars of the genre, most notably Cliff Richard, have managed to sustain successful careers and there have been periodic revivals of this form of music.
Rudi Schuricke was a popular German singer and actor. In the 1930s he was Second Tenor with the Kardosch Singers, a popular vocal ensemble of the time. When the group dissolved in 1935, Schuricke joined the Spree Revellers and later proceeded to found his own vocal group, the Schuricke Terzett. He also appeared as a solo singer with many popular orchestras of the 1930s and 40s. His 1949 recording of "Capri-Fischer" was a "smash hit" in Germany. Even as late as the mid-1950s, he was still a successful musical artist. In 1954 alone, his song "Moulin Rouge" was the 74th most purchased single on the German year-end chart and another of his songs "Das Märchen unserer Liebe" appeared on the German Top50 chart. The advent of the rock 'n' roll age, however, soon made his music out-dated.
