Hayze Perham (born 2 July 1999) is a New Zealand professional rugby league footballer who plays as a fullback for the Brisbane Broncos in the National Rugby League (NRL).
He previously played for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, New Zealand Warriors and the Parramatta Eels as a winger or centre in the NRL.
Perham was born in Taupō, New Zealand, and is of Māori descent.
Perham played rugby league and rugby union at Rotorua Boys' High School.
In round 7 of the 2019 NRL season, Perham made his first grade debut for the New Zealand Warriors against Melbourne at AAMI Park.
In round 17 of the 2020 NRL season, Perham scored his first try in a 24-18 loss against the Parramatta Eels. Perham was released from his contract with the New Zealand Warriors, signing with Parramatta for the 2021 NRL season. [2]
In round 25 of the 2021 NRL season, he made his club debut for Parramatta in a 40-6 loss against Penrith. [3]
In round 7 of the 2022 NRL season, he scored his first try for Parramatta in their 39-2 victory over Newcastle. [4] In November, Perham signed a contract to join Parramatta's arch-rivals Canterbury ahead of the 2023 NRL season. [5]
Perham joined the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on a 2-year deal, making his debut in their 31-6 loss to Manly in Round 1. [6] [7] He scored his first try for the club in their 26-22 win against the Wests Tigers in Round 3. [8] Perham played a total of 19 matches for Canterbury in the 2023 NRL season as the club finished 15th on the table. [9]
The Parramatta Eels are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta that competes in the National Rugby League (NRL).
Feleti Sosefo Mateo is a former Tonga international rugby league footballer. He played a variety of positions from lock, second-row and five-eighth. Mateo was also selected to represent NSW City Origin and the NRL All Stars. He last played for English club Salford Red Devils of Super League in 2016. Before that, he played for Sydney club the Parramatta Eels between 2004 and 2010. He also played for the New Zealand Warriors between 2011 and 2014, and the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in 2015 and 2016 before moving back to England and finishing his top-level career with Salford. Mateo was renowned for his versatility and extravagant style of play.
Cabramatta Two Blues, colloquially known as Cabra, is an Australian rugby league football club that was originally formed in 1919 and then later completely formed as the Two Blues in 1939. They have always based from the Parramatta Junior Leagues, and their junior teams compete in the Parramatta District Junior Rugby League Association. They currently compete in the Sydney Shield and have previously competed in the Ron Massey Cup however both sides did not field a side for the 2022 season in either competition. They play out of the Cabramatta, New South Wales, Sports Ground Complex which can fit up to 5,000 spectators.
