Dr. Hedgewar Hospital (officially known as Dr. Hedgewar Rugnalaya) is a charitable hospital in Chatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. It was established in 1989 as a 10-bed hospital, as one of the main projects of the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Vaidyakiya Pratishthan foundation. As of 2022 and since the expansion in 2010, the hospital has 300 beds and runs medical services in many specialties.
The hospital runs mobile dispensaries and HIV prevention programs for the population living in the slums of Aurangabad.
In 2023, Direct Relief procured diagnostic machinery for the hospital in order to establish an infectious disease department. [2]
