Hendrik "Henk" Weerink (2 July 1936 – 13 March 2014) was a Dutch association football referee. He refereed between 1967 and 1983 for more than 450 matches in national and international matches. He was born in Coevorden, Drenthe.

From the quarter finals onwards, two-legged matches were held. If two teams drew both matches, or if they both won one, extra time was played right after the second match, no matter what the aggregate score was.

A supermarket owner by occupation, Kuipers has officiated at two World Cups and three European Championship tournaments. It was announced on 29 July 2021 that Kuipers would be retiring from refereeing, officiating his final match between Ajax and PSV on 7 August in the 2021 Johan Cruyff Shield.

The siege of Coevorden was a thirty-one-week siege of the city of Coevorden in the province of Drenthe by the Spanish general Francisco Verdugo during the Eighty Years' War and the Anglo–Spanish War. The siege first commenced in October 1593, but winter and shortages of food and supplies forced the Spanish into winter quarters. The siege however recommenced in March 1594, but on May 6 Maurice of Orange arrived with an Anglo-Dutch army to relieve Coevorden, forcing the Spanish army under Francisco Verdugo to retreat.
Netherlands v France in 1982 was the first women's rugby union test match. 1982 was the 50th anniversary of the Dutch Rugby Union and, as part of the celebrations, the Dutch invited the Association Française de Rugby Féminin (AFRF) to send a France women's national rugby union team to play a Netherlands women's national rugby union team. The match was covered by reporter Henk Hansen of the Dutch news magazine Panorama.
