Henri Boileau (12 February 1866, Oullères near Lyon – 15 August 1924, Bois-Colombes, Paris) was a French entomologist who specialised in Coleoptera. Boileau worked on world fauna, notably Lucanidae. His collection is conserved by the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle. Boileau was a member of the Société entomologique de France.
Eugene Séguy was a French entomologist and artist who specialised in Diptera. He held a chair of entomology at the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle in Paris from 1956 to 1960. He is also known for establishing the Diptera section at that museum. This entomologist is often confused with a French artist with a similar name: Émile-Allain Séguy (1877–1951). The latter is known for his pochoir artworks representing plants and insects.

René Oberthür was a French entomologist who specialised in Coleoptera. With his brother Charles Oberthür he worked in "Imprimerie Oberthür" the very successful printing business founded by his father François-Charles Oberthür. René and Charles supplied free bibles, missals, catechisms and other printwork to missionaries in exchange for insect specimens. In addition they purchased on a large scale, acquiring almost all the large collections sold during their lifetime.

Pierre Chrétien was a French entomologist who specialised in Lepidoptera. He was a member of Société entomologique de France. Trifurcula chretieniZ. & A. Lastuvka & van Nieukerken, 2013 is "named in honour of Pierre Chrétien (1846–1934), who discovered nepticulid mines on Bupleurum, including those on Bupleurum rigidum, and the first author to describe a number of Mediterranean species that are now placed in Trifurcula (Glaucolepis)." His collection is held by National Museum of Natural History in Paris.

He was Chef de division à la préfecture des Landes. Perris was a Member of Société Entomologique de France. His collection is held by École nationale supérieure agronomique de Montpellier excepting Cicindelidae, Carabini und Lebiini which are held by Museum Dax, Landes.
