Henri Mikael Kantonen (born 20 August 1997) is a Finnish professional basketball player who plays as a shooting guard for Korisliiga team Helsinki Seagulls, and the Finland national team. Kantonen started playing basketball in a youth team of Torpan Pojat.
Kantonen has won two Finnish championship titles with Kauhajoki Karhu Basket in 2018 and 2022, during his two stints with the club. He was awarded the Korisliiga Most Improved Player in 2018. In 2019, Kantonen also won the Finnish Cup with Salon Vilpas.
In September 2023, Kantonen signed with Mažeikiai in Lithuanian Betsafe LKL. [1] On 23 February 2024, he suffered a season-ending injury. [2]
In January 2025, he returned to Finland and joined Helsinki Seagulls.
Kantonen has played 15 youth international games with Finland U20.
Since 2018, he has been part of the Finland men's national basketball team, representing his country in the EuroBasket 2022 and the 2023 FIBA World Cup. [3] [4] [5] [6]

Helsinki Seagulls is a professional basketball team, based in Helsinki, Finland. The club plays in the Korisliiga, the highest tier of basketball in Finland.
The Korisliiga is the top-tier professional basketball league in Finland, comprising the top 12 teams of the country. In its current format, each team plays all other teams two times in the regular season, once at home and once away, for a total of 22 regular season games. The top six teams advances continues to upper stage and the bottom six teams plays lower stage after 22 games, 5 games at home and 5 games at away versus all other teams in stage. The best two teams from lower group joins to playoffs with upper group teams. Playoffs are played best of seven format, except the quarter-finals which are played best of 5 format. Pantterit holds the record for the most league titles won, with 14. The top level Finnish league for women is the Naisten Korisliiga.
Petteri Johannes Koponen is a Finnish professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the New Zealand Breakers in the Australian National Basketball League (NBL). Standing at 1.94 m, he played both point guard and shooting guard positions. He was drafted as the 30th pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2007 NBA draft.
